Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe room on my second stay.
The breakfast was basic continental, although on my second stay a week later there was no eggs. My first stay the room was good coffee and a kettle in the room, but on my second stay no kettle, but a coffee machine but no coffee capsules, even in the draws. on my second visit the main lighting wasn't working and there was no WiFi. So it was a good first stay but poor the second stay and room was more expensive, should be better not worse!.

United KingdomWe were looking for a hotel that was handy for the Ouistreham ferry early next morning. This fitted the bill perfectly as it was only a 15-minute ride along the riverside to the port. The room was modern, clean and comfortable and the staff were very helpful. There are some shops and cafes nearby and Pegasus bridge is just a few minutes walk away. We were able to lock our bikes to the steel stairs in the rear courtyard, which was pretty safe. Unfortunately we had to leave before breakfast was served so we can't comment on that.

United StatesOur room was a little noisy being on the ground floor next to the street but thankfully things quieted down overnight. We had problems with the wifi never connecting despite following the instructions in the room.
Pretty hotel in the heart of the village with free private parking. Comfortable bed. We were only there for one night for an early ferry departure so we did not have any meals there or use the spa facilities.

United KingdomMinimal street lighting in the village and hotel car park could be a little challenging when arriving after dark. Main car park quite tight to navigate in a van but helpful staff member noticed and advised us to park in a spot we wouldn't have considered.
Location perfect for coming off the ferry late, parking very close to our room, level access for our room, helpful staff, everything was really straightforward and just what we needed. Travel cot set up in room for us on arrival.

United KingdomNo others bars or restuarants in the immediate vicinity.
A nice hotel to stay and very handy for the ferry port. The room was clean and comfy and there was ample parking. No lounge or bar area to sit but there is some outdoor seating for sunny afternoons. Evening meal was very nice and the staff very attentive. Didn't have breakfast as early morning ferry. There is a boulangerre next door for an early morning croissant,

United KingdomFrench TV boring. Hotel Internet didn't work in the room across the road from main hotel. Coffee facilities in room was just one pouch. No milk. The French just dont do tea and coffee in the rooms wherever you go to. Breakfast not until 7.30. No good if you have to catch the early Ferry. Rooms fitted only with euro sockets. Recommend there is a brilliant pastry shop just as you drive into Ouistreham on the right. Perfect for pastries pies etc and they do a nice coffee
Found this place due to hotels at Ouistreham being unavailable and overpriced. This hotel great location and few miles from the port. Free parking. Room is clean and spacious. Bed really comfortable. Shower perfect Nearby great pastry shop and the famous Pegasus Bridge. My God so close to the hotel.

United KingdomOur rooms were in the annex across the road with parking available. They were well appointed and in a quiet area. There are rooms on the ground level and first floor (without a lift) so perhaps difficult for anyone with mobility problems. The restaurant in the main building was comfortable and well furnished. We particularly like the statues of the horse there and the one made from horseshoes outside the hotel. Breakfast was excellent with a good choice as were the evening meals in the restaurant. The staff were all very welcoming and helpful.

FranceI found the property to be expensive for what it was. Beds did not look inviting. Room was looking shabby from use. Tea and coffee facilities are limited to 1 tea bag or coffee pod and after that, it was a euro for each additional used. On-site parking but very small and I couldn’t get my big car in.
Proximity to the Port. Exterior is very pretty. Staff member very friendly.
