Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

RomaniaWe stayed only one night.....
The whole location exceeded my expectations. Mr. Theo and his wife are an amazing family, and their struggle to keep this mansion alive is amazing. The whole property is carefully restored and maintained.

BelgiumBedroom can get a little warm during very hot nights. Rest of building is nice and cool even on hot days.
Wonderful hosts who consider your wellbeing as their ultimate priority. Very lovely people. Fresh breakfast. Also, highly recommend the cambodian take away restaurant in the village.

GermanyAll was good
In short, our stay was flawless. Highly recommended! Doris and Theo, the wonderful hosts, make every guest feel like a treasured friend. Their hospitality even extends to their two friendly dogs. We stayed in a cozy room in their recently renovated barn, equipped with a private bathroom and all the amenities we could need. The barn itself is beautifully renovated and tastefully furnished. The cozy lounge on the ground floor, complete with a fridge and small amenities, made us feel right at home. Breakfast was a daily delight! Homemade jams and preserves, perfectly cooked eggs from the farm’s chickens, and a wonderful selection of meats and cheeses awaited us each morning. The coffee and tea options were top-notch. Each breakfast was personalized, featuring homemade jam, cheese, fruit, and baguette. Doris and Theo went above and beyond by bringing a small birthday gift for our son, adding a special touch to our stay.

AustraliaWow! Where to start... The couple who run this place treat their guests like valued friends. Even the 2 dogs are welcoming. The room in this newly renovated barn was warm and cosy with a private bathroom and everything a guest could need. Breakfast was amazing! Home-made jams and preserves, eggs done how each guest likes them and sourced from the farm chickens, a tempting array of meats and cheeses and the most delicious coffee and tea options. There was also great parking for our tandem bicycle under cover. Everything was better than good!

AustraliaA wonderful stay in a family run BnB where you are instantly made to feel so welcome. Doris and Theo are such lovely hosts and make sure you have everything you need. We are bike packing and were able to keep our bikes safely secured and a hearty breakfast in the morning was most appreciated. A really comfortable room and shared living area has all the comforts of home. A gorgeous rustic interior made from recycled materials that have loads of family history. Definitely worth a stay!

DenmarkThe nearest French restaurant is a couple of kilometers away from Wittisheim But that´s not the Grange´s responsibility. Disabled people might have a problem to climb the steep stairs to the rooms.
The hosts were very friendly and talkative and answered all our questions regarding places to eat etc. The room and the common areas were all beautiful with a lot of wooden furniture - all self-designed by the host. Recently opened as a place to stay, the Grange is a lovely surprise and the host couple are very service minded and want to make their guests feel at home. We talked both German and English with them, as our French is a bit rusty :) The breakfast was rich and simply marvellous. Total value for money.
