How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Disposable slippers could have been provided. The Air Conditioner tripped and couldn’t be fixed. However a replacement room was arranged.

Not a good use of space- sparse accommodations. Large room, but no where to put luggage/ no closet/ dresser. Can’t unpack. Seems like developer just threw in a bed, couch and a couple of TVs. Bathroom shower without a door or bumper, so water goes all over the entire bathroom floor. Difficult with 4 people. Separate bedroom in family suite does not lock; bathroom is inside this room, so people will need to walk through bedroom to get to the bathroom. Hotel is not actually on the beach- it is across the street from the beach, with a building in between. Windows on beach side can still see the water; but no balcony.
Amazing location in the center of La Grand Plage. Walkable to town, many restaurants and lighthouse. Breakfast has excellent choices of anything you wish to eat/ drink and even a few made to order options. Clean and seems recently updated.

Biarritz is gorgeous. Lovely clean beaches & long gorgeous coastal walks. Restaurants very good. I went on a day trip to San Sebastián. Public transport excellent. Accommodation was lovely great location & friendly staff.

Unbeatable location in the heart of the city and 100 m from the seaside. The personnel really understands the concept of "service". The bed is extremely comfortable and the room is super spacious. Excellent breakfast!!

There aren’t any communal places to chill (except for the cafe). Would be nice to have somewhere you could be when not in the room.

I'm sure it may come in time as it was only newly opened, but a mirror in the bedroom would be great, not just having to rely on the bathroom mirror. A mini fridge would also be a great addition to the room.
A brand new hotel that just opened a month before our stay in a great location close to the beach and by the bus stop for the train station. Staff were lovely. The breakfast was great. The granola was really good. The room had a smart TV, air con, and was really spacious with lovely decor.

Previous review said 5 min walk to beach....more like 20 but buses handy and frequent. Would highly recommend this hotel
Really nice rooms. So clean and well furnished I thought it was brand new. Excellent breakfast in a super bright and fresh room too. Communication with the hotel was top notch before , during and after our stay. Could teach others a lesson in this department!

Too much expensive :) Poor breakfast for the size, but choice is average.
Very new hotel, everything brand new and modern. Good bathroom, good doors, good furniture. High ceilings, very close to the beach (1 minute), friendly reception. Good wi-fi, not noisy, ocean view. I could recommend it for short stay definitely.

Loved everything about it. We were on vacation so the outside noise didn’t really bother us. Rooms were big enough for the two of us. What I’ll remember the most is the kindness and helpfulness of the staff. So thank you all for making our 5 day 4 night stay easy and wonderful!

My only regret is not having enough time to stay longer.
This beautiful boutique hotel is on the beach and in the heart of the town. Great location. The facilities are impressive. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. The room was oversized with a comfortable large bed. Breakfast was delicious.
