Not a problem for us, but showering was using a bath extension. I guess a cabinet wouldn't have been very 1930s.

Nothing about the property, just the destination Cosne sur Loire feels a little run down and no where near as nice as Sancerre - but the property was just lovely - can’t recommend it enough :) great for a short stay as you meander down the Loire valley!

Loved all the absolute attention to detail in every thing - from the music when you walk in to the beautiful decor, you feel like you are in a French Haven! The host was amazing also and made sure I had everything I needed and more.

Absolutely nothing.

The location was central. The accommodation was excellent. No attention to detail in the room or the house had been missed. The bed was very comfortable with lovely crisp linen. The decor in our room “Monsieur” was tastefully done. The bathroom was tastefully designed. The host Thierry was charming and interesting to talk to. We have travelled a lot and 1930 is possibly one of the best places we have stayed hence our score of 10 for all aspects. We will definitely stay again. The other Swiss couple we met who were staying there had returned many times. That says a lot.

Perfect. Not a détail overlooked. Decor just so…… Easy access, storage for bikes, comfortable bed, central location. Breakfast excellent. Very nice host.

The property was extremely clean and beautifully remodeled! There are only two rooms for rent so plenty of room in the home. The optional breakfast was excellent! Thierry was very helpful in answering all of our questions. Thank you Thierry!

The owner is a very talented decorator. He got every detail right in this house, right down to the teacups and the color of the retro refrigerator. The room was very comfortable and the owner was very kind and friendly. The breakfast was very generous with top quality in everything served. The location was very convenient, right in the town center, close to restaurants.

The attention to detail was impeccable! It was an absolute delight to stay there. To top it off we were served a wonderful breakfast at 7 in the morning without even having to ask for a special early start. Would highly recommend and stay again myself!

Thierry’s welcome was warm and charming and was reflected his exquisite taste in decor in this well located house. Free parking is 50 metres away but lock up garage is available opposite the front door. In our room the facilities were of top quality and the bonus was an easterly window for sunlight in the morning. The breakfast also exceeded our expectations in a very calm and pretty room.

The one thing and this is personal, there was a hand held shower over a bath. My preference is for a full shower cubicle.

Totally authentic settings in the rooms and amazing ambiance. Thierry did everything he possibly could to make our stay super comfortable. He also speaks excellent English. We only stayed one night but even so it was a bit of a shock to return to the reality of 2023. Time travel at its best!

The silver is polished. The napkins are ironed. There is plenty to choose from the breakfast buffet to put the china to good use. The property is designed for lounging in your room, the salon, the dining room or the garden. Help yourself to coffee or tea in porcelain cups. Le 1930 is elegant with antiques, collectibles and the bathrooms are not only new — but photogenic. Spend time in the bathtub! Located on a small street one block off the main plaza of Cosne-cours sur Loire, the village is small with offers good services, museum and the Loire location. We enjoyed walking along the river path to the goat farm to buy a picnic to enjoy on the way back (10,000 steps roundtrip and flat). Sancerre is 10 kilometers away for wine tasting and dining. The charming host / owner is there to personally welcome you to relax, enjoy yourself and assist if you need something. There are only two guest suites so it feels private.

A warm welcome by Thierry in an amazing well restored old town house. We enjoyed the pink room of "madam" with very comfortable beds. A sumptuous breakfast is served in the breakfast room but the most enjoyable room was the "lounge" where you could relax after being out and enjoy 24/7 coffee & thea with soft background music. Parking nearby.

Beautifully furnished house with an Art Deco focus. Thierry was an excellent host and made us feel very welcome. There is a lounge and courtyard that can be used exclusively by residents with tea/coffee/juice/cakes available. Top recommendation!
