Welcoming hosts in this wonderfully central location We'd booked restaurant but it wasn't open so we dined, on familie which was delightful, in a lovely garden. However as a result of location food was colder than ideal. It would have been better if we'd been told in advance that restaurant closed. Wine served with dinner was a great choice and reasonably priced at €5 per glass. Rooms very comfortable with great views and wonderfully furnished/spacious. Access to rooms inappropriate for anyone with even minor mobility issues. Parking challenging but hosts very helpful in finding somewhere. Breakfast excellent with home made preserves. Perhaps the option of decaffeinated coffee could be added to menu.

Run by a delightful couple, the room has a spectacular view over the Sancerre rooftops to the vineyards beyond. Wonderful breakfast with a most personable host. And a beautiful garden for relaxing in back.

Location was very central to Sancerre village. Ideally placed to discover the area. Staff very friendly.

Stayed in the big room with two bedrooms in the attic. No walls between rooms (not even WC!) making it very uncomfortable with noise and privacy. Very low roof -had to lean all the time. Some decorations were cringe (ie. an old cradle inside the room)

Friendly helpful owners. Homemade bread and local cheese for breakfast was delicious. Pretty views out the windows and located in a quiet area on the edge of town

Lovely bed and breakfast in the heart of medieval Sancerre. The owners were lovely and the home-made breakfast delicious. They had a big room with toys for kids which was perfect for my son to be entertained.

The owners are hospitable people, the rooms are warm, they cook amazing breakfasts. The location is awesome.

Of the minuses, you have to go up to the second floor with your things.

The proprietors -Gisele and Philipe - were lovely, kind, and hardworking.

Our spacious loft accommodations wouldn't suit everyone; we enjoyed the rustic charm.

A quirky set up in what is a small town with not much choice in accommodation. The breakfast was excellent with home made bread, jams and yogurts

I wasn't prepared for the steep stairs both leading to the upper floors and indeed inside the room, which isn't always easy with cases. There were a lot of toys all around the rooms which made it quite eccentric in appearance

Centrally located just moments from the main square. The hosts are genial and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious with home made breads, jams and yoghurts. The views we had from our room over the vineyards were exceptional.

Perhaps some glasses / cups in the bedroom.

Very pleasant stay at Le Cep. We appreciated the spacious room (2 rooms actually, separate living and sleeping areas). Very quiet, overlooking their garden, and to the side, leaning over the window, we could see the hills and vines. Great breakfast with home-made jams, yoghurt and bread, very nice touch!

A charming and quirky b&b centrally located in Sancerre. Very welcoming hosts, excellent breakfast and a very nice playing area for the kids, with lots of toys and books.

Delicious breakfast. Lovely views from bedroom. We ate at the owners' restaurant across the road - great setting, friendly service and gorgeous food. Our children (aged 12 and 14) enjoyed the experience and the menu.
