Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomOur only criticism related to the “ restaurant “ and the price charged for a small mediocre microwave meal bought in and served in a jar. Definition of a restaurant “ is a place where meals are prepared on site in a kitchen and served to the guests “. This was not case and our disappointment was compounded by the price charged for these “ bought in microwave meals” Nothing was freshly prepared Our advice is don’t eat there. We would suggest that the hotel not advertise itself as having a restaurant but stick to renting rooms which in themselves were very nice and good value for money.
Beautiful setting and lovely little room that was quiet and very comfortable.

United KingdomThe cabin itself was really hot and it didn't feel like a good idea to have the windows open. There was an air conditioning unit in the cabin and a fan which was great. But the air conditioning unit of course did drip water from the condensation pipe. So we had to lay a towel down. We had nowhere else to place the pipe and the unit didn't really cool the room down. But we were very grateful for it. When we attended dinner in the restaurant the menu was hand written on paper. And the meals came out in glass jars which some were meant to but you could tell the food wasn't freshly cooked on site. Although it did taste great. And I can understand for a place in it's location and the time of year not being the busiest. There was a lack of staff and the site did have quite a few people in the accommodation. But the guy working who I didn't get his name was amazing. He did a great job of getting all our orders and bringing the food to us in quick time!
The location and property itself is beautiful and has a lot of character. we stayed in one of the deluxe lodges and it was beautiful. It was set out perfectly and was very clean and well presented. The food was delicious in the restaurant. The staff we met were lovely and tried there best to speak to us in English and make us feel welcome.

Francethe access for the pool was blocked with chairs - dead leaves all over the outside terrace that was not prepared for guests , no restaurant (but option for jar dinner), the shower gel brand, the corridor light did not work well so it was complicated to un-lock the door in the dark
the nice and big room and nice environment in the middle of nature, the breakfast was great with choices like omelets and fruits, the pool

United KingdomThe hotel has taken a €350 deposit and it has not yet been returned to us. We are now speaking with booking.com customer services which is a headache. English is very limited at the hotel which of course is understandable but frustrating when an issue like this arises. They also have induction Hobs but the pans are incompatible.
Stunning grounds, beautiful clean facilities and the food at the restaurant was delicious

United KingdomThe inside bedroom we had was not in keeping with the general fun decor, as a bit old fashioned and small. never the less clean and comfortable.
great funky decor and in addition to inside bedrooms there are individual chalets each with your own outside spa tub. I would say a perfect Wedding party venue, the food in the restaurant was great and friendly staff a big plus.

United KingdomDog pee stains on my carpet in the bedroom . Which was not great. They charged me extra for the dogs which they did not tell me on check in. The food was very expensive after I asked for the dish of the day they charged me a lot more.
In a lovely area of the countryside. The staff were very friendly and helpful. You can take your dogs in the restaurant and breakfast. Nice walk around the property. Good breakfast

IrelandThe evening meal was atrocious! We were disgusted to find that the only option for dining was processed, ready-made meals, served in jars, at a high price, which were inedible. The food was just salty mush which was not in the least appealing, served straight from the microwave, both congealed and watery in equal measures. I didn’t think it was possible to create something so unappetising. The prices were far too high for such mush and our waiter tried to slip an extra charge onto our bill. Fortunately we were ready for him as we had heard every other table disputing “mistakes” on their bills. It is clear this is a regular tactic of his. When we were paying our rectified bill I told the waiter the food was inedible (he didn’t seem bothered) and asked if he had ever tasted it. He snorted and said “Of course not! I eat at home,” and laughed. If the food isn’t good enough for staff to dare trying, then why charge customers an outrageous price to insult them? And not a single plate to be seen. It was jars straight from the microwave landed unceremoniously onto the table. The entire experience - room, meal, drinks - was overpriced and highly disappointing.
Good breakfast.

IrelandThe room was dark and dingy. Not worth the price paid. The most shocking thing was the 'restaurant' experience. Really, really really terrible food in jars, microwaved so congealed at the top. It tasted awful and slightly chemical. Like bad hospital food. It was unbelievable what they charged for this supposed food.A total scam. 16euro for the jar of food in this photo. In addition, the bill arrived and we were over charged, something I noticed happening with other tables. The receptionist did inform us about the jars on booking, but the issue wasn't that the food was in jars, it was that it tasted awful and was over priced. It would be better if they didn't have a restaurant a let you know to make other arrangements as it coloured the whole.experience. It was one of the most over priced, depressing, meals in a region with incredible local food. Don't believe the 'speil' when you book in, the issue isn't the food in jars, it is the over priced awfulness of it.
The location is beautiful, the pool was nice and the breakfast was good.

United KingdomIt was extremely frustrating to have to wait until 5.00pm to be signed in particularly when the lady at the desk who denied earlier access was the one and the same who signed the large and slightly annoyed queue that built up at 5.00pm. It would have made sense if the rooms were not ready but this was not the case. The restaurant was ok but the food dire. The menu on show in the room was not available. All that was available were three starters and three main courses all of which came in pre-prepared glass jars that only needed microwaving and even that was done badly, mine was cold at the bottom. Undoubtedly the worst hotel meal that I have ever experienced. Restaurant staff were nice though.
Good location and the room was adequate.

United KingdomCompletely false advertising and not even worthy of one star. The room and the food service do not match the advertised hotel. Room was small, had exposed wires, missing floor, a toilet my 10 year old couldn’t even fit in, dirty and very very dated. When raising a concern staff shrugged their shoulders and said they would speak to the manager who would get back to us. Never did despite asking twice. Hotel management are obviously very aware of all of the complaints as they have condescending complaints posters all around the hotel. Breakfast was a joke and should be avoided at all costs.
Location and surroundings are beautiful.

SwedenHorrible place. Dark. Dingy. No staff. Was like Faulty Towers This is worth £20 per night not £120. They wanted £20 extra as an early check in at 3pm!! The room was tiny and dingy. The mattress was 3 inches thick. No toilet paper. The restaurant served microwave meals in pots purchased from the petrol station then tried to charge 180 euros for the meal. I dont normally leave reviews as all properties can have a bad day and i will give the benefit of the doubt but this place was a disaster and a disgrace you could not make it up.

AustriaAt the check in was charged 6€ extra for energy(electric) for a couple. When on booking was saying that we had only to pay extra 2€ local tax. No air flow on the room. Small room with zero option to turn a dog around. A bit noisy at times. The dirty on the outside tent was a mess. Yes the grass was cuted while leaving the cuted grass all over the couches, plus cigarette on the floor that they are there more them 3 months. And be careful with extra charges have a few in the comments!!! And take spray anti bug's, just in case is summer 🌞
