How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

One more socket would be useful
It’s only a 2-star hotel but it feels really lovely, and the staff go out of their way to make you feel as comfortable as possible.

Some might find no lift a problem
We’ll located traditional hotel very close to center in Deauville. Very friendly staff, good breakfast. Updated bathroom.

There is no elevator
Very good location - Close proximity to both the train station and the beaches. Carrefour Express is just opposite the hotel. Lots of good restaurants nearby. Cozy and comfortable.

Nothing really. The fridge in the room could have been cooler and it would be nice to have a socket beside the bed. There are others though.
Staff were very friendly and accommodating. They had a special lockup for my bike. Bed was super comfy and breakfast was very nice. A good price.

Room : We were at the top floor. Just need to be careful about the sloped roof (and hence ceiling).
Room : very clean. Location : very close to the beach (10 mins). very close to the center (2 mins)

Bed wasn’t very comfortable - I think it was very old and had many ‘dips’.
I loved the view from the property. It was pretty. I found a free parking 5 mins away walking. I don’t mind old design as long as it’s clean. WiFi was ok Everything within walking distance Friendly staff Good price

I stayed at this hotel and had a fantastic experience. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-appointed, with comfortable beds that made for a restful night's sleep. The staff was incredibly friendly and went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. The location is perfect, close to local attractions and great restaurants. Overall, a wonderful place to stay and I would definitely return!

Our room was very clean and cheerful with a nice view of the street. The breakfast buffet was excellent: lots of choice, high quality and the most delicious and flaky croissants we’ve had in our month long travels! Also a machine for specialty coffees was appreciated! Friendly and helpful owners.

This is nothing the hotel can do about (and definitely not the hotel's fault) but there is a group of birds (seagulls) that must have a nest nearby and that didn't let me sleep past 2am every single night. They were screaming at an incredible high pitch noise making the whole process of sleeping incredibly difficult and to be honest impossible for me. Besides this the whole experience was good.
Location was exceptional and the staff were sensational people; super nice and very accommodating. The cot was set up on arrival and they didn't charge any extra thing. The place is more looking like a house than a classic hotel so it can look and feel a bit "dated" but the value for money of the facilities, the location within town (the closeness to the area were parking is free, to the horse race track and to the beach), plenty of fantastic places to eat nearby plus carrefour at the door (literally!!), breakfast is small but sufficient, etc.

our stay was great, but in the morning there's a lot of noise from pigeons and other disturbances. So, if you plan to sleep in the morning, it's not the right choice, but if you want to enjoy a good stay and leave early, it's a good choice. The staff were excellent.

They advertise parking which is not true. In fact there we’re a lot of parking slots in the street (at this period of the year) but the property does not own one

As it is an old building you can hear some noise from other rooms but guests were mostly quiet so it's not a problem
The staff was super friendly, the location is great and the water very hot
