Lovely continental breakfast, fruit, yoghurt, croissant, bread, jam, orange juice in well equipped kitchen dining area…. Coffee machine, tea making facilities, fridge, small hot plate and cooking equipment should you wish to cook for yourselves….. we didn’t!

The bedrooms are up 3 levels of stairs while not a problem for us, will be for someone with an accessibility challenge. The host was most willing to assist work suitcase portage.

Splendid large upper room with large 4 poster double bed. Very comfortable accommodation. There is a well appointed common breakfast area and kitchenette. The village of Issigeac is historic with some lovely buildings and is blessed with excellent restaurants. It is also a short drive to the charming Bergerac.

Absolutely NOTHING to dislike.

An outstanding B&B in the amazing village of Issigeac, with the most welcoming, helpful hosts, Christine and Geoff. The spec of the renovation is superb, the comfort of the bed is dreamy, the whole place is wonderful. We stayed for a very relaxed week and used all the facilities, kitchen to cook our own meals occasionally, the honesty bar! and the lovely South facing garden. Issigeac is fantastic, when walking around it’s rather surreal, it took my breath away. There is a bus from Bergerac that runs through the village serving all the local villages too.

The history of the property is fascinating, it’s a gorgeous renovation and the rooms are beautiful - also really useful having access to a fridge and kitchen facilities. Loved being able to borrow bikes. Very easy to get around by bus with a little planning.

Only downside was the heat the region was experiencing when we went. There is absolutely nothing that the owners could do in fairness and we were given an exceptionally large fan and advice about how to cool the room. No accommodation in this area has air conditioning and I wouldn’t expect it either.

The rooms were lovely, very traditional and with a very large bed. Breakfast each morning was fresh and it was lovely of the owners to schedule in a time for breakfast that worked for us. We were given the right level of privacy when we wanted it. The honesty bar downstairs was also a godsend for us after a few long days wondering around the region! Parking was easy enough to find in the village and the owners did a great job of signposting us.

Beautifully and tastefully renovated medieval building in the heart of Issigeac. Very warm and friendly welcome from the hosts. Great continental breakfast and there are communal kitchen facilities should you want to self-cater for some your other meals. Honesty bar downstairs is a nice touch. No hesitation in recommending this establishment.

Had a wonderful stay at le fort, the hosts made us feel at home from the moment we arrived, they were helpful, welcoming and informative. The room had everything you could want with the biggest bed we've ever seen. We would definitely recommend and will hopefully be back ourselves soon.
