How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewA very comfortable, quiet room with an attractive view; an excellent restaurant, and a great location, close to several walking trails. The hotel pool and spa, as well as the large garden are also very pleasant.
We very much enjoyed our short stay, so no complaints at all.

Verified reviewIt is a great location to stay at when visiting Chamonix. Sweet room with nice view from a balcony. Friendly and helpful staff. Parking space is available either at the hotel or right next to it. The dinner was delicious.
The WiFi speed is not the best. I had to switch to data in my room. The door to the toilet in our room needs some maintenance to open smoothly. The toilet also took some time to refill the water, which in some cases may be inconvenient )_)

Verified reviewGreat location for us because it was a bit away from the hustle bustle of the city. We stayed in the 3 bedroom chalet. Very comfortable beds and pillows. Very clean. The staff was incredibly sweet and helpful. Thoroughly enjoyed the pool and spa facilities. Overall a wonderful experience and we will come back!
The front door of the chalet cannot easily be opened - the lock gets stuck. After two days the back door lock was also stuck. Perhaps if we mentioned to the staff they would have fixed it but we managed to make it work.

Hello, I'm not complaining, but I do have a few suggestions. Our stay was so nice, and your staff, especially Romano at the Front Desk and the other staff at breakfast and dinner, were incredibly helpful. As vegetarians, our only option for dinner was Mushroom Risotto. If possible, please consider offering more vegetarian options. This would make it easier for us to consider eating at your restaurant after a full day of activities, rather than having to go out or travel back to town, which is a bit far. At breakfast, the scrambled eggs and bacon were in two different pots, but because they were kept under one large cover, their steam mixed. It would be great if they could be kept completely separate. I understand that most people might find these suggestions unusual, but for vegetarians, this is very important. Having said that, thank you all for making our holiday so comfortable and memorable. We look forward to seeing you again next season for your reopening. Special thanks to Ms. Romano for all her help and the packed breakfast with the delicious fruit cake. Merci beaucoup!

Verified reviewStaff were fantastic and very friendly. Gave us a tour of the property including the hot tub and restaurant/bars. Gorgeous scenery of Mont Blanc from the room. Food in the restaurant was delicious and a great selection for breakfast. The room was beautiful with comfy beds and AC. There was plenty of parking available, including room for motorbikes. The hotel is on the outskirts of Chamonix, so it was nice and quiet but only a 10/15min journey into the centre.
The food an drinks at the hotel were a little pricey, compared to other places on our trip.

Verified reviewThe exceptional service started as soon as we informed Romaine about our late arrival due to a breakdown - she had already arranged a cold buffet, which was really welcome when we reached the hotel. And Romaine took us round to show us our rooms - I can't remember the last time we were taken up to our rooms by the manager. Then Florien continued to serve us even though it was quite late, finishing with a great Cappuccino. Our next destination was Dijon, and Florien even recommended the main eating places and the key local dishes, which proved to be very useful.

All the employees were really very nice - the front desk, the room service, the yoga instructor (yes they provide Yuga lessons 😊). Two super A for them: the chef is amazing. One of the best food we ever had. Very sophisticated tasty and generous. Amazing experience. The reception lady named Romane was super professional, guided us on all of our needs and provided great solutions. Also for the rest of our trip in France. We loved this place!

they had a nice breakfast buffet, however the eggs boiler wasn't very easy to use, there was no turkey or beef bacon or cold cuts, only pork meat and we don't eat pork, coffee could be better
