Didn’t miss anything except better Wi-Fi.

Terrific location by St Savin Abbey. The guesthouse is a renovated former residence of the actual abbey. All super great interiors, practical lift and enormous room.

We don't have anything negative to say about our stay.

Le logis de l'abbaye de Saint Savin is newly opened after a substantial refurbishment and the family has brought it back to life, enhancing it's beauty. Our room had hand-crafted furniture made by the owner, which is beautiful; and we had the most comfortable bed. The building sits on the river bank with stunning views and the front overlooks a typically French square (we had triple aspect views). The family has run their restaurant for 5-years from the property called Le Cerafus. It was a bonus not having to search for somewhere to eat. Stephanie, the owner, was a delight and offered the best customer service, with her team. Breakfasts were typically French - you didn't go away hungry. The Chouquette's were memorable, we'd never had them before. We can highly recommend a stay.

    Nothing

It was a wonderful experience. The welcoming by Stephanie was true hospitable. The room was spacious and luxury. We also had a wonderful dinner in the restaurant. Good good and very nice priced wines. As a former hotelmanager I can only recommend this genie

Lovely. Remember to ask about Félix Léon Edoux and why he built that enormously tall tower.

For some reason Google Maps directs you round the back of the building, next to the river. Don’t do that: park in the main car park and the Logis (Le Cerasus) is at the right end of the abbey buildings. The building has been restored from a ruin eight years ago so inevitably the interior lacks character, but the quality of the decor makes up for that.

The building has been fitted out to an exceptionally high standard, with very large bedrooms, and Stéphanie was very attentive and keen to please. Breakfast on the terrace was a delight.

The owners were on holiday and had clearly forgotten that they had taken a booking - the restaurant and guesthouse were both closed when we arrived, despite my giving (and having acknowledged) our arrival time, and when I phoned the number on the door the woman who answered (one of their mums) seemed surprised that we were there. Not her fault at all, she was really trying her best but we booked the place because of the restaurant (closed all week) and the reviews that mentioned the warm welcome. The mum came quickly and opened up for us but we felt more like intruders than guests. No facilities in common areas and no facilities for making drinks in the room. The room was cobwebby and the cups in bathroom were dirty. The breakfast was croissant, yoghurt, bread, coffee. Just not what we expected from a Chambre d'hote at this price point. Everyone's entitled to a holiday but the owners should not have taken bookings during their own holiday.

Lovely location, part of the abbey complex in an interesting building with a view over the river and rooftops. The room was large, with quirky touches. Nice bathroom. Modern lift.

    Restaurant was closed 😢

Very newly opened rooms on top of the restaurant in the tower. Still need a few homely things added. Very central. Restaurant was closed so comment on that. Lovely town. Well worth a visit. Hostess was so helpful. We loved her. Great breakfast
