Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThis was the perfect base for our week-long visit to the Loire Valley, and we had a wonderful stay. The location, views, quiet and nature were just what we were looking for, with shops and sights a short distance away. And the children loved the heated pool, and enjoyed some long hours swimming even when the weather was not that sunny. The hosts - Lisa and Mark - were very friendly, helpful and added little touches that made the stay feel special. We felt very welcome and are planning to return for another visit next year. The basket of essentials (baguette, jam, butter, wine and beer) on arrival was very thoughtful and welcome, especially as we had yet to do any shopping. And the option to order freshly-baked pastries for the morning was fantastic. There is a large supermarket just 5-minutes drive away, so it is also easy to stock up if you arrive early enough. We stayed in their largest accommodation option - Le Pressoir - which has three en-suite bedrooms on the bottom floor, and a living room, kitchen and deck on the floor above. We had some lovely evenings sitting on the deck looking out over the view and listening to nature sounds all around us, especially from the wooded area just to the rear of the property. The property has a lovely large lawn, a treehouse and small football pitch, and the kids just loved running around and exploring. It felt very safe and child-friendly. It was also an easy walk into the small village where we enjoyed an excellent lunch at a recommended local restaurant - Chez May. The location is about 45 minutes from Angers, which was a very enjoyable day-trip, as well as close to several vineyards. The hosts have some excellent recommendations in their detailed and very helpful folder that they provide. Overall this was an excellent option for our first visit to the Loire Valley, and we look forward to returning soon!

United KingdomNothing.
The property was perfect. The Gite was well equipped with everything you would need. Clean, Lovely and homely in an amazing setting. Well located, and easy to access. Local amenities not too far away. The grounds were beautiful and the pool was an added bonus. The owners were on hand should we need them and provided some recommendations which were very useful. We loved the daily bakery delivery, all organised by the owners for us. We can’t recommend this holiday home enough. We loved it and will be sure to return in the future.

BelgiumI honestly can't think of anything. it was perfect.
The best holiday home to relax with children. Mark and Liza were so kind and our kids had a blast. There are plenty toys, books, outdoor games, the pool is safe, everything you might think you you need is there. I love to cook and when I was missing something in the kitchen I could just go to the hosts and ask for it. They even ordered an oven thermometer because I was not skilled in using a gas oven! It is possible to order breakfast so you can sleep in! The property is very safe and I felt super comfortable having my kids run around, they made some great friends. The house is very well located to do many day trips or shorter outings to charming villages. We will come again and recommend to our friends!

United KingdomTotally out of Lisa and Mark's control: it would be lovely if there was a cafe or boulangerie in Brion - there really is nothing within walking distance! (but there's plenty within a short drive)
Lisa and Mark have restored the properties at the Pressoire beautifully and are great hosts: available if you need something, but otherwise leaving you alone. The pool is lovely. There is heaps of space for children to run around. There are toys / games / books / bicycles to hand if you need them. Rooms are spacious and comfortably furnished. A very generous welcome pack.

United KingdomWe all enjoyed making use of the pool and the lovely gardens. The gite was very well equipped and comfortable. It was lovely being able to order fresh croissants and bread on site for each morning. There was lots to do locally, and it was close to transport links but was also very peaceful. Mark and Lisa were very welcoming and friendly, and it was great having them on hand to answer any questions. We would definitely recommend staying here.

United KingdomGenerally the property was exceptional and it was hard to fault, the stairs within the gite (2 bed) was quite steep, fine for adults and older kids but little ones and older people might find tricky but the owner did let us know this when we booked so we knew in advance.
Beautiful grounds with lots of child friendly facilities- play area with swing and slide, treehouse, football pitch and a lovely swimming pool with loads of toys! Quiet location, sheltered and sunny areas to sit out and have a glass of wine / bbq. Good ample parking. Amazing laundry facilities. We stayed in the 2 bedroom gite which had a very large kitchen with a large table seating 10+ with good cooking facilities, great for family evening meals. Spacious comfortable lounge with good TV options. Bedrooms were spacious and comfortable, as were the bathrooms one for each bedroom, no bath but baby bath provided for us as well as bed guards and stair gates.
