Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaUnknowingly we had booked a 2 level room with a very rickety spiral staircase that was totally unsuitable for our needs. The hotel kindly moved us into a small room with a verandah for the last 2 nights.
A beautiful spot, we walked into Fayence and Tourettes (20 mins uphill). Short drive to Seillans and lovely walks among vineyards from the front gate. The restaurant is a real treat with lovely views up to Fayence. Limited food choice for celiacs. The pool was lovely for the hot afternoons.

United KingdomStunning location and lovely staff, great food in the restaurant, will come back. Just wish the bed was more comfortable but that’s probably because we sleep on a soft mattress normally. Everything else was wonderful !

United KingdomThere wasn't anything not to like about this place. The staff we met were polite, formal and perhaps a little reserved, but we can't all be brash comedians.
Lovely rustic, light and fresh room with its own terrace looking over the fields to Fayence. A very pleasant surprise. We only stayed one night, when the restaurant was closed, We were too early in the season for the pool and had to leave too early to settle down for breakfast, which looked very tempting. However, if in the area again we will definitely seek the place out for another stay when both are open and we can relax in the morning

NorwayThe beds. Too short, and the pillows were very hard.
We really liked the charm of the old building and the surrounding garden. It's in a quiet neigborhood and still easy walking distance to the center of Fayence. Good breakfast that we enjoyed outside. Fortunately we had pre-booked a table for dinner, the restaurant appeared to be full both nights we stayed there. The 45 Euro menues was good value for the money, and the restaurant staff was great - friendly and attentative.

Germany- to reach our bed we had to climb a narrow staircase which made it tricky to visit the toilet at night (toilet was downstairs)
-excellent location, close to Fayence -spacious and calming surroundings with lots of nature -excellent dinner options and service in the restaurant -place with a history of being a olive oil factory

United KingdomWhile tea and coffee making materials were provided the milk was out of date and we had to ask for replacements. While we didn't need them I also think it's a bit naughty to charge for refills of milk, etc. Breakfast is OK but probably not the variety one would expect from a hotel of this obvious quality. It felt a little bit corporate. All the other hotels we stayed at had fresh home made yoghurt - here we had longer life jars that were so hard to get into I had to attack mine by stabbing it with a breadknife - much to the hilarity of a fellow guest who apparently had the same experience! Having read the instructions we still couldn't make the juicer work and had to ask staff who initially merely pointed us back to the instructions. We were then put off to see that some of the fruit in the basket for juicing was in fact mouldy. Small details but important. The restaurant was closed on the two days we were there but the menus look good if expensive and there don't appear to be any lighter snack options. It would have been nice to have been able to get a drink in the evening but there is no obvious bar option when the restaurant is closed.
We had a great room in a lovely hotel that has a lot of character and history as an olive mill. Nice welcome from lady at reception. The tower suite is a delight, albeit it would not suit those who struggle with stairs. Very comfortable bedroom and lovely downstairs sitting room where we were able to relax once the outside temperatures had dropped - which they do in late September! Good patio area to sit out in the sun. Wifi was strong and allowed video calls home, etc. Nice to have a fresh juice machine for breakfast, but see also below.

United StatesOur room described as small was barely acceptable. Small amount of hanging space but no room for a chest of drawers. The tray with tea/coffe was balanced on a small round table which was really too small to take it and we had to put the kettle on the floor for the flex to reach the socket. The shower/toilet/sink area-was a small wet room and as hard as I tried I couldn’t prevent the shower from wetting the whole of the floor area.
Breakfast was very good. The pool is excellent, large with plenty of umbrellas and sun beds.

United KingdomThe gardens were gorgeous, the village backdrop of Fayence and the actual original olive and wheat mill were still present. Fantastic and very well situated.
A stunning location for us . We were visiting family, so this was ideal. The whole place was just charming and the staff were super friendly which means they are in good management hands. Great place.
