I had a request for payment from the hotel around a week prior to our arrival date evan though i had a pay at property agreement. When i tried to give an arrival time from the list of times available on the web page i was told denied .than the payment requests continued .I tried to call hotel as I thought my booking. Com account had been hacked .there was nobody to answer the call so I left a voice mail .they recieved it and returned another email mail in French. When we arrived we had to wait for two and half hours for the reception to open and to book into our room .it states outside opening times for reception are 530 so why ask for an arrival time if your not going to book us in .we understand we are in france and found the language barrier hard for our first time ever .we communicated via Google translate .that's fine as we can't speak fluent French. A guy arrived and didn't seem interested atall .in fact I found him quite arrogant.he just spoke to the lady but ignored us .we took our luggage in and re loaded our car to save time in the morning, but the guy just watched our every move .we weren't made to feel welcome ,they didn't ask if we enjoyed our stay the morning we left .nobody explained the keys ,which door to come in on night etc .it has took the shine off our return to mimizan plage .we will come back but not to this hotel where we felt unwanted .

We love mimizan plage.the hotel is convenient to the centre with a short walk . Free parking opposite ( we worked it out for ourselves ).the walk to the beach is a couple of minutes away too .there is a restaurant and a bar here but we didn't use it .room. was big enough for the short time we got to spend in it .

Le plaisance is so convenient for the beach & the staff are really great. Excellent balcony!

While the room is small it is very comfortable and clean. The balcony is much appreciated. The staff were excellent and made sure our bikes were locked in a garage overnight.

The manager was extremely aggressive and threatened me when we attempted to bring our dogs in despite it claiming to be dog friendly. We had checked in, then took the dogs for a walk before taking them in, he was violently aggressive and ordered us to leave immediately

The air conditioner was over my head in bed and dropped on me all night. Also, the proprietor was unpleasant with us about early check in - he ended up locking the outer door to prevent any attempt to enter before 4:00, a bit surly.

It was very hot so air-conditioning might have been good.

Clean simple hotel close to the beach & not far from bars and restaurants. Also quite convenient for Bordeaux airport. Very welcoming and quite stylish.
