Wonderful location. Comfortable room. Friendly and helpful owner.

A door to the shower/WC would provide a little more privacy

stunning location, traditional French feel, beautiful views. We stopped off here as a half way point driving from Calais to SW France and it was an unexpectedly perfect picturesque setting - would be perfect for a romantic getaway or family break. We ate outside on the terrace for dinner and that was wonderful too. It felt like a very fortuitous discovery

My partner accidentally left with the restaurant toilet key in his pocket! We felt terrible and posted it back from south of France but I would recommend that the restaurant gets a spare cut and also maybe attaches the key to a massive lump of wood so that idiots like us don't accidentally leave with it!! Thank you for your patience on this!

The location is amazing. You drive up through the ancient archway along narrow cobbled streets. The property is tucked away with an amazing view over the town. Madame prepared a lovely breakfast which could be served on the terrace.

Beautiful building in a wonderful location in the old City Royale. Lovely views from the stone balcony of our room

Lack of privacy in the bathroom as no door to bedroom

We arrived late afternoon to find a very comfortable room had been reserved for us with a superb view we booked a fairly late breakfast for the following day and the decided to take a walk about the area. The hotel is in the middle of the historic quarter of Loches and has a Garden open to the public with fantastic views of the surrounding countryside. The street the hotel is situated on leads to the old Castle which has seen service as a prison and is open to the Public. The shops and commercial part of the Town are just downhill outside the historic walls and contain a selection of eateries to suit all tastes. Loches is a delightful place and well worth a visit. Driving to the hotel through the narrow streets full of pedestrians was unusual but the way was well signed and worth it. The Gateway to the hotel is tight and needs care to get in. Overall we thought this hotel was smashing and when we were leaving our room noticed a small sign on the inside of the door stating that the room was originally occupied by the lady who became Queen Anne of France twice by marring Two Kings Of France

We had a delightful few days at Le Presbytére in Loches. Our room was beautiful, bright and very tastefully decorated. The bed was very comfortable. It was a pleasure to sit by the open windows in the early morning and late evening taking in the view. We would have happily stayed for much longer if our travel plans allowed, next time hopefully. Madame Aline was a charming host, kind and very hospitable. It was a pleasure to meet her.

I would agree with other comments that a screen of some sort would be useful for the bathroom entrance, if only to shield the bedroom when the light is on in the bathroom.

The location is lovely and the property has character as it is very old. Nice antique furnuture and the bed was comfortable and a good size. Clean with good shower. Safe parking. Grand daughter of hostess could speak english and was helpful finding and booking a restaurant for dinner as it was a Sunday night.

Although the location is lovely it is difficult to find and negotiate the tiny roadways to the property. The hostess greeted us but couldn't speak any english. Our french is limited. She did get her grandaughter to help. The main drawbacks were: We paid for a double bed and 2 singles but were told not to use the room with the 2 singles. No milk for tea or coffee tray not even UHT and no offer to supply any. No lounge except 2 chairs on the landing. The hostess wasn't prepared to supply breakfast until 9 which was late. No one could be contacted when we left as she had chained up the interconnecting doors and we couldn't make her hear. A rather negative experience for expensive accommodation.

Beautiful building, many old original features with a modern well equipped bathroom. Room had air conditioning which was a real bonus considering the extremely high temperatures. Breakfast was served in a lovely original dining room and was more than enough We would certainly stay here again

The Presbytery was not easy to find and we had to obtain instructions from the tourist information office. Once that was done there were no problems
