How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewNice welcome and very spacious room. Spotlessly clean. The owners gave me lots of tips about places to go, train to Paris (station is 5 mins away) and restaurants. I was travelling with my 2 kids and Isle Adam is a little gem of a town- the 'plage' pool complex is fantastic and there is a lovely river path for walking and running very close by. Lots of great restaurants! I would definitely return and 100% recommend this town and B&B as a perfect place to stopover if you are travelling from Calais to the West of Paris (towards Loire Valley in our case) as the town is very close to the A16 motorway.
Nothing negative to report. No TV in room but that didn't bother us as kids had their devices and the WiFi is very good.

Verified reviewThe location is amazing, close to a beautiful town - 5 mins drive or a 30 min walk across stunning fields, easy to get to Paris and the rooms are delightful. So quiet.
The only criticism I could give is that the corridors can amplify the noise of footsteps and keys in doors, but only a minor point, much outweighed by the good

Verified reviewNice rural hotel with lovely rooms. However there is no restaurant, even though this is in their advert. We. arrived late, having booked a table for dinner when we booked, built we were told there was no restaurant and then had to get back in the car and go and find one in the local town
A restaurant as it is advertised

Verified reviewLovely, peaceful B&B run by Josephine & Leonel sited behind a high wall between the single lane Chemin des Stors and a park. Parking is available and accessed via a large automatic gate. Had it not been so damp (a rainy Spring), we would have visited with the property’s affectionate goats. Josephine’s breakfasts are lovingly served, with eggs from J & Al’s chickens, home-made yogurts, applesauce, jams and excellent pudding, Josephine’s specialty. Our room was very clean, decorated with an African theme with lovely wildlife photos. Ground floor rooms are available for those who have difficulties with stairs.

Verified reviewGreat reception; we felt so welcome after a long drive. Secure parking, quiet location, great beds. Best breakfast ever. Would love to be there in summer.
Wished I’d parked boot first to make it easier to drive out.

Verified reviewFriendly welcome from lovely hosts. Secure gated parking. The house was very clean and the family room was a good size and tastefully decorated. We enjoyed walking through the forest at the back of the property and then sitting outside at the front of the house enjoying a drink kindly offered to us by the hosts. We were given a lift into the local town by the hosts and enjoyed a nice meal from a choice of restaurants. Breakfast was very nice - homemade jam for bread and croissants, yoghurt, eggs, cereal for kids. Thank you very much - we’d like to return one day.
Everything was nice. Slightly too far to comfortably walk into town for meal. You can have food delivered via Uber eats if you don’t want to venture out.

Verified reviewThe location was excellent , the breakfast was very good. Josephine and Lionel offers a welcoming drink as an organic vine which is of high quality. The open plan dining area is very relaxing, cosy, and hospitable. Its facilitates the interaction with others guests or being private. The back garden leads into the forest where we were surprisingly guided by their affectionate goats and cat. Lovers of nature will be in their element. We were very touched by their kindness and eager to help.
They could have been some fresh fruits at breakfast for those who can not have gluten but that is just because we have that needs. Otherwise the provided continental breakfast was very good ( eggs, bread, butter and delicious home made jam, fresh croissants, orange juice, muesli, home made yoghurt, tea, coffee, herbal tea and milk)

Verified reviewNice location, close to the village. Very quiet. Lovely staff! Clean and modern rooms with en suite bathroom. Freshly baked apple pie as a "starter" for breakfast.
Breakfast itself was quite simple: (croissant, baguette, 3 types of home made jam). Could be a bit more (chacuterie/cheese).

Verified reviewNice, clean, comfortable room.
Misleading title and description. It was advertised as a one bedroom suite with a bedroom and a living room, but it's actually just a quadruple/family room.
