Pillows were not ideal but that is a personal preference.

Location for travelling was excellent. Room was a reasonable size and nicely decorated. The one member of staff we saw was pleasant and polite and seemed to work hard in all areas of the hotel!

Unfortunately, the receptionist was not very welcoming — perhaps it just wasn’t a good day. We had chosen this hotel mainly because of the restaurant, which has a good reputation, but when we arrived we were told that hotel guests do not automatically receive priority. We were informed, rather matter-of-factly, that everything was already booked. We explained that this was one of the reasons we had chosen to stay here, but there was no real response. In Italy, this would have been handled differently. We found this to be a disappointing policy, and in fact we came across it more than once in Normandy — though thankfully it wasn’t the general rule everywhere. The room itself was ok, though nothing special: older furniture, a bathroom and toilet that were somewhat dated, and the cleanliness could have been a little better. Still, the place has charm and could truly be a little gem if the staff were more motivated. A warm smile or a bit of kindness costs nothing, and investing in a refreshed bathroom would pay off many times over, as that’s often the first thing guests notice.

Some minor issues with the room that should have been resolved before our arrival: - broken toilet seat - flashing light bulb in bathroom, - loose rail for accessing the bath The room was large compared to chain hotels of a similar price.

We are doing a one night stopover here on our way back to Calais. This is an unprepossessing 2 star hotel - but with the most amazing restaurant! It is part of the owner run Logis de France group of hotels. There are 3 set menus with choices of gourmet courses on each one, and, impressively several "market dish of the day" type dishes which means they are fresh off the boat/from the butcher/from the fisherman. Both of us had fabulous meals, with a couple of cheeky amuse bouche thrown in. The cheeseboard had about 8 or 9 choices and was served from a device like the 70s globe drinks cabinet. The wine list was also impressive but not at a silly price. The restaurant was full so booking is recommended. The service from the team was excellent. A fantastic experience all round. Will we stay again? - you bet we will!

I think that they may have had a problem with damp in the bathroom but otherwise the room was perfectly acceptable.

The food was excellent. At breakfast time the tables were fully set possibly in a slightly old fashioned way but one that demonstrated that the highest standard were being delivered.

FRiday night in the town was noisier than the previous Tuesday, but not fault of hotel. Nor was the loud residents that came back late & disturbed everyone!

Great location in the centre of quaint village. Dog friendly in rooms, although not in the restaurant or bar. Nice terrace and garden. Lots of free, public parking behind the hotel. Restaurant food was absolutely fantastic. Recommend you book.

Drinks are clearly available with meals but there isn’t a bar despite a lovely patio area which would have been nice to enjoy. There are bars close by nonetheless!

The location is great in a lovely town just a few minutes away from the motorway. The public parking is close by and very accessible.

Very comfortable and friendly, helpful staff. Especially helpful in the restaurant with our daughter's very difficult dietary requirements which is unusual for France! They checked really carefully and adapted the menu but still prepared lovely food for her. Chapeau!
