Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

A wonderful place to stop on our way to Italy. The hosts were charming and it was lovely to be so close to the historic centre but still in a quiet oasis of calm

Very friendly welcome. Bright, airy and delightful house. Nearly all roads closed due to fete so we couldn't get to the hotel by car. Landlord came with us to rescue car and negotiate back via narrow lanes.

Nice little hotel in beautiful building and very centrally located. Great and plentiful breakfast with a lot of options. Super nice owners who went beyond to also accommodate me after check-out to wait out the rain showers (as I was traveling by motorcycle).

Parking is always an issue in centres of towns but we managed to park outside in the street. If you arrive later (after 6pm), this might be easier still. There aren’t tea making facilities in the room but you can help yourself to water and glasses from the breakfast room.
Central to Laon ‘upper town’, it’s a 3 minute walk to the cathedral. Isabelle is most welcoming and has taken every care to set up beautifully clean and well appointed rooms and breakfast room. The building is too old for air con but she had put a standing fan in the room to try to help combat the 35 degree temperature outside! You are given an order form for breakfast the following morning which is a great idea and there is a very good range to choose from. An excellent venue. Very clean. Highly recommend. Great value.

The Laon authorities or whoever it is that controls the roads made a huge mistake in not putting clear signs out that caused us a delay of nearly 3 hours trying to get to the lovely hotel.

I needed a 2nd pillow but that’s just me and for 1 night it was fine. If I was staying longer, I’m sure our host would fine one for me.
What a great find! This beautiful hotel is situated just to the side of the cathedral and so a very easy walk to the centre. On street Parking is available outside and appeared to be free but we parked at free car parking at the end of the street. You can unload at the hotel and then park up. Our hosts were so lovely and kind and their daughter (Eloise!) is very beautiful. Breakfast was fresh and you order the night before from a choice of cereals, fruit, yoghurts, ham, cheese, bread and pastries. Great coffee. A very enjoyable stay.

It would be tricky to find without sat-nav owing to the narrow streets, one ways etc. But the location was worth it as we were able to walk & explore the town on foot once parked.
Plenty of character in the property but modern bathroom facilities. On-street parking was readily available on a Saturday in April.

This was our second visit to Les Hotes d'Eloise so we knew what to expect. This is a charming place to stay, hosted by a delightful family who offer a warm welcome. The room is comfortable and spacious and the breakfast is excellent. We have recommended to friends and will definitely return.

It was difficult to park outside the hotel …Although free parking was only a short walk away.
This lovely hotel was very convenient for seeing the sites , restaurants and shopping. The room was very comfortable and spotless. Isabelle was a delightful host.

There was nothing to dislike
This was a great place to stay in Laon. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly and we very much enjoyed our stay. Our room was comfortable and well furnished The breakfast provision was very good. Many thanks to Isabelle and Michael for their great hospitality
