Although we had committed to pay for three nights our plans changed and we had to leave a day early. I had let the property know on the day we arrived. Some kind of concession, at least for breakfast would have been appreciated.

The location is very central within the fortified city. Loved our room, and the courtyard and breakfast room.

There was only shower gel and hand soap, so when it stated free toiletries I expected mini shampoo and conditioner so make sure you take some. There was a coffee machine but no milk. If I was desperate I could’ve asked and I’m sure it would’ve been supplied.

The location was fabulous. The hotel was impeccably clean, the bed was really comfortable. It was a lovely hotel and the hotelier was really welcoming. The view from our room was fantastic.

There were some very noisy guests in the room above us as we were trying to go to sleep - Not the fault of the host.

Wonderful location, spotlessly clean, superb facilities and decoration. Extremely big bedroom and bathroom and very comfortable bed. Superb breakfast. Paid parking immediately next to the hotel.

Excellent hotel in a lovely old town..

The location is great; right in the old town centre and next to a parking lot (which used to be free, but is now 20€/24h). The hotel and rooms are very nicely decorated, with spacious bathrooms and comfortable (relatively hard) beds. The old town centre is quiet at night. Boulogne sur mer is relatively poor so expect some homeless people in the old town centre as well. There are plenty of restaurants around and the walk on the old city walls is very pleasant. The breakfast is outstanding with lots of foods and drinks in the buffet and a very atmospheric breakfast room. The staff is very friendly. There were some communication issues at first, and some confusion about how to enter the hotel since the gate is closed and reception empty. But the staff are fluent in English and all requests were taken care of. All in all, great value for money.

The breakfast starts at 8:30, which was a bit too late for us because we had early morning meetings. It was not possible to adjust the time of the breakfast, so we were left without breakfast that one day. However, the hotel manager was flexible and arranged a sweet breakfast for our last day, when we left the hotel very early in the morning because of our morning train.

The room was really beautiful and nicely decorated. It was also very clean. The whole building is very beautiful and the dinning room was also nice.
