I liked this hotel! The location is perfect, just in front of the train station and walking distance to all sites worth visiting. Fast-food and restaurants are just a stone throws distance away. Nice and comfy room, excellent value for money, highly recommended!

This property is an old building (that is clean and well refurbished), i.e. due to the historical architecture, there are 2 potential issues to consider, which you can solve by notifying the hotel in advance while making the reservation: -If you have some mobility issues (this was not our case), please note that some rooms require to climb some stairs while some others are easily accessible from the elevator, so it may be better that you get assigned to the latter. -Some rooms are located under a sloping roof. If you plan to have a long stay and if you are more than 2 meters tall, it may be advisable to notify the hotel in order to get a room with a sufficient height under the ceiling.

The hotel is located opposite Saint-Roch station, i.e. at a walking distance of the city center of Montpellier. When you exit the station, please note that the Best Western sign is less visible than the actual hotel name: "Hôtel Comédie Saint-Roch". The check-in was efficient and the room was clean and modern.

The only downside was the lack of basic toiletries like shampoo and a toothbrush, which would have been helpful given the unexpected stay. Still, overall a great spot for a short stay.

I booked this hotel last minute after my train was unexpectedly cancelled, and it turned out to be a real lifesaver. The location is incredibly convenient—just a one-minute walk from Montpellier Saint-Roch station, which made everything so much easier. I was especially relieved that they allow late check-in and have a 24/7 reception—it took a lot of stress off arriving late. The staff were absolutely lovely and welcoming, which was comforting after a long travel day. My room was clean and the bed was super comfortable—exactly what I needed for a good night’s rest.

The sink was clogged, which should be fixed. The central location near the train station has its own negative side as there are a lot of homeless and creepy people always near, so do not feel secure in the evening if you are a solo traveler and a girl on top.

The room is small but clean and neat. It has everything you need.Very nice stuff, as it allowed me to check in at 10 am. Good diversity of food for breakfast.

The location was a plus and a minus in regards to being across the street from the train station. The room was on the small side. The bathroom was very small and could use a grab bar in the small shower. The tiling was beautiful, but I was afraid I was going to slip when it got wet.

The staff was very helpful and breakfast was good. It was a shortish walk to everything.

The air conditioning wasn’t overly powerful making the room a little stuffy, but overall not a big issue and we would definitely stay here again

The room was very small. And the coffee awful. the alternative was 2 sachets of green tea. (it might have been possible to ask for milk or plain tea but we were on a 1 night turn around so didn't ask)

Hotel Comedie St Roch is near the station and has a large number of trams to take you all over the city. For elderly people that is wonderful. Trams are very cheap, too! The staff were courteous and helpful. It is a very pleasant hotel with a good breakfast.

I liked the rooms and the staff, and the choice at breakfast. The location was also excellent, and there is a comfortable waiting area. I did not like the noise levels from the street below, and also I felt the breakfast was a little expensive.
