Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomCustomer service was below the level you would expect from a four star hotel. About fifteen minutes after arriving at the hotel after a long journey from the UK, a member of staff unceremoniously hurried me and my family out of the jacuzzi - there was no sign on the jacuzzi to say you had to pay for it and we had just seen another family in there, they had left the jacuzzi free and we had no idea it was normally locked. We were not yet aware of the rules and the person who handled this was quite rude and made us feel embarrassed. The lady who was running breakfast and reception at the same time needed more help as she had so much to do. Breakfast seemed a little chaotic as a result. There was not enough space to spread out the breakfast items and it was confusing. Also in the rooms we only had about two to three hangers each. There was only one swim towel in the room for four people. The housekeeping team lost their keys. And then, finally, after we left, we had a phone call asking us if we had used two coffee capsules in the room because there were two missing. We had already been asked about whether we had used any items from the minibar etc at reception when checking out. Generally it seemed as if the hotel staff had perhaps been abandoned by the manager. We also tried to book a massage, raising it a couple of times with the staff but they were unable to help. Having said this the hotel is in such a nice location and has a good ambiance and comfortable rooms.

United KingdomToo expensive - not good value for money. Pool is smaller than it looks in photos. We had teenagers with us so it didn’t suite them. Good for younger kids though. Location is a bit too far out of the way. Long walk to only a couple of restaurants nearby. Room had no air con so was very hot in august.
Very clean, well kept, friendly staff

United KingdomI have no criticisms, this is a lovely small but spacious hotel
Hôtel Les Vignes de la Chapelle is a great location on the il Du Re tucked away in a quite and pleasant corner of the island but offering easy access to the main tourist points. The pool was an nice size with comfortable sunbeds and deck chairs and enjoyed the sun for all of the day. The spa though we didn't use it was spacious and well equipped

We really liked Ivette :) She was so kind and the rest of the stuff as well! The pool area was best and clean and the beds were super comfortable!

United KingdomThis isn't a hotel. They asked for a deposit for the room in addition to the fee, housekeeping woke us up on the saturday morning and never came back, there are rules for everything, and everything comes at an expensive additional fee. Note, we wanted to rent some bikes they have onsite, they asked for a EUR400 deposit on top of everything. They say "guest wellbeing is our priority" but unfortunately it did not feel like this at all. A shame as this place with its set up and location could be so much nicer.
Location is great and the view on the vines / country side from the pool is fantastic

United KingdomThe fact that there was no restaurant on site, nor, indeed, anywhere within walking distance. This meant that we had to drive (not very ecological) to a town 7 or 8 kms away.
The room was lovely and it was a very peaceful environment. The breakfast was lovely.

United Kingdombeing expected to pay for parking when already paying hundreds for our accommodation was rather insulting and a clear and unnecessary money grab. This should be addressed by the owners (and stopped) as leaves a bad impression on an otherwise delightful stay
perfect room with outside patio a huge bonus, where we were served dinner one evening from the on-site takeaway service. friendly, helpful staff

SwitzerlandFor us the price is on the upper level and it needs to be considered that parking is 16 € per night
Beautiful Hotel with a lot of love in the Details. Very friendly staff. Home made Yoghurt and Marmelades for breakfast. We also loved the ecological aspect in the House such as composting, biodegradable soaps etc..

United KingdomThe hotel is in a beautiful, tranquil location. We went out of season but it would be a welcome haven when the island is busy at peak times. The staff were incredibly helpful, arranging bikes and a late checkout for us. Nothing was too much trouble.

United KingdomPrice of the breakfast 18 euros for a continetal breakfast very expensive, although very nicely laid out and good selection. We were lead to believe that the car parking was 6 euros and in fact it was 15 per night !! We had to pay a 200 euro deposit for the room , Iv never paid that before even in a top hotel in London!! I don't expect to pay a deposit that is more than the cost of the room. not for one night anyway.
breakfast was good, nice pool, sun loungers

BelgiumYou have to pay extra for trivial things, like parking and (if you're not staying in a duplex) plates and kitchen utensils. Especially the €40 per day for a parking space for charging (Tesla charger) seemed extortionate. You can just park on the street in front of the hotel and charge your car in lots of places on the island. The hotel doesn't really have a restaurant, but they offer breakfast and something from a deli for supper. We just ate out.
We booked a duplex room for a family of 4 and it was a good size, very nice, very clean, everything you want for a family. The pool is large enough and well maintained. Overall the hotel leaves a well maintained, clean impression. It is located on the quiet side of a quiet town next to a vineyard.

United KingdomReally nothing to dislike. We cycled easily to La Flotte in the evenings but a wee way if you’re not fit. Shelf on headboard is a design fault but hardly a “thing”. Some normal tea bags and some UHT milk would have been much appreciated in the room pack but again, really minor.
Great launch pad for the island but also quick to enter and exit when on a short stay. V friendly staff, low key, simple but all you could need, all amenities, pedal bikes to hire on site and lovely and quiet. Breakfast was spot on - variety and lovely open room. €15 to park in gated area but some places outside.
