Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

AustraliaThe room we were in was on the top floor and the wifi signal was too weak to connect to in the room. Also, only enough warm water for one person to have a quick shower in the evening. Lovely bathtub but unable to use it in the morning as there was no hot water at all - not good considering the high price paid for the room. An electric kettle and cups to make tea or coffee in the room would have been appreciated. A beautiful,warm and cosy room but poor value for money given the lack of hot water and in-room wifi - maybe the other rooms don't have this problem. Also, for the price, breakfast should have been included however I understand a lovely old building like this would be expensive to maintain.
Beautiful old building with quirky furnishings. Cosy and comfortable. Lovely glass of champagne on arrival. Breakfast plentiful, delicious and elegantly served. TV with several news channels in English. Large and comfortable bed. Heating in bedroom and bathroom. The whole place was very clean.

United KingdomI wish I was told the room I booked was on the 3rd floor of a old house with nobody to help out with dragging up our heavy suitcases. when I asked a room on the 1st floor to avoid the climb with heavy suitcases I was told it would be possible with a substantial additional charge and that I should have arrived earlier (it was 7pm) if I wanted to have someone take the luggage upstairs for me... The owner also added he didn't understand why people would travel with such heavy luggage... This was the most expensive hotel within a 100 km radius, so we expected a bit of service and comfort. The owners are extremely kind and willing to the point I feel bad writing this review but they have forgotten the basics. The 220€ bedroom (including2 breakfast) is 15m2, with a decoration that's not changed since the 70's, it's under the roof so it was stuffy, hot and small. We couldn't open these suitcase either considering the small room. So yes, overall, it's a ok place with very kind owners but it's overpriced for the area and the basic services one could expect.

Abousitely fantastic hotel great location superb grounds the staff done my laundry made me feel at home couldn't ask for more swimming pool and jacuzzi were great after a long hard walk on Camino perfect

United Kingdombreakfast was only available after 8 am. I was informed bedroom would have wifi but it only worked in the lounge. Bedroom was small and dark.
The offer of a glass of sparkling wine on arrival was a very nice touch.
