We loved this manoir. Everything was amazing, really clean, luxury and comfy bedding, beautiful landscape and for the kids everything they need, a pool, a playroom and filled with a lot of amazing stuff. And not to forget a lovely breakfast and a friendly host. Loved it!! Would come back for sure.

The only downside for us with litlle children was that it was very warm at night (we had a fan but loved some cold outside air) because we wouldn't dare to open the windows. If you opened them you could just walk outside (no barrier and they started from the floor to the top) and drop 2 floors down. And if we could cook something in the evening, that would be really amazing. But we saw a kitchen in the making next to the playroom so we guessed that would be there soon.

Location, pool, the owners were very kind and helpful, style of building and grounds, breakfast. Easy to walk to Azay.

No air con, but is an old building and would be ok usually.

This place is wonderful! The Manoir and the annex (the "pigeonnier" under "les intouchables de la touche" ) are exceptional rooms, beautiful, historical, very spacious. The "salon" is great with a piano and games, the swimming ppol is large and with many games (Table tennis, mini foot etc), the parc is lovely, walking distance to the villah]ges of Cheilé and Azay-le-Rideau and its exceptional castle. All great. The owner is lovely and flexible. All in all: a fantastic place to stay with your family (I rented the whole place for a weekend with my family of 16 people!).

    Nothing ...

Easy to find property in own grounds with easy parking. Our room was spacious and interesting although up two flights of stairs! Bed was comfortable and had an excellent shower.

Slightly odd as large parts of the day when no member of staff is around. We were just outside of main season so we seemed to be the only paying guests which felt slightly strange. The breakfast is very simple but comes with friendly service.

Welcoming and professional staff, even at the late hour that we arrived. As we had missed the restaurants in Azay, Florence kindly arranged a small supper for us. We were very grateful and also to Celine who gave us a small memento of walnuts wrapped in a cute package of hessian. Such kindness and thoughtfulness. Great old building, a short walk from the centre of Azay.

To be honest, I cannot think of much at all. A small detail: we were staying at the top of the building which was a little warm (though we had an excellent, noiseless fan), the room though, grand. We were unable to access the wifi, but to be fair, we didn't mention that to Florence who I am sure would have rectified this.

peaceful, lovely flowers, game room was nice

The entrance was locked. The turn around space was tight. The owners were on vacation, and it was difficult to reach someone to open the gate. They said Booking never contacted them.
