Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomOur host didn't make any adjustments to breakfast to consider my wife's dietary needs, but we bought our own gluten-free bread from the local supermarket. In our room, the toilet was located within the bedroom. Outside of breakfast, tea and coffee is available at 2€ a cup.
Fougerolles is a lovely little place, and Manoir La Cerise is a very attractive building with a great garden. My wife has coeliac disease, and it is very hard to find gluten-free food in French restaurants; the availability of a single ring hob for heating our own food was therefore much appreciated.

SwitzerlandNice B&B in a very calm village. We came for visiting the distillery Paul Devoille, the weather was super hot and we appreciated the fresh house and nice garden. Our host was welcoming and communication was smooth and easy.

United KingdomVery few eating options in the area so it's best to eat before you arrive.
We booked last minute en route to Calais and were warmly welcomed by Rene, the new owner. The Manoir is a truly beautiful building with many original features and lots of outdoor seating options. There is even a small outdoor swimming pool. Our room had a large and extremely comfortable bed and blackout blinds so we slept really well. Rene prepared a delicious breakfast in the morning. We were sad to leave and would definitely recommend.

SwitzerlandEverything was perfect.
We loved this place! We were visiting the area with our two children and our dog, and we all want to go back. The place is beautiful. It's a riverside manor house with a large garden full of flowers and greenery. The decor is elegant, the owner very welcoming, and we really had an excellent stay. We'll be back next year, just for the beauty of the place. Our room was large and beautifully decorated with comfortable beds. We also had an excellent breakfast. The little extra: the owner has a puppy :)

United Arab EmiratesEverything was well up to the mark, thanks to the care taken by Rene.
Rene welcomed us to the Manoir and went out of his way to make us comfortable. He made it clear that we could use the kitchen and the facilities as we pleased and we took him up on it and used our provisions to prepare sandwiches for our picnic in the Vosges mountains. He was interesting to talk to as well and prepared a fine breakfast for us for each of the mornings we were there. He also gave us a lot of tips for restaurants and things to do in the vicinity. The room was large and the bed was comfy. Bathroom worked well. Parking was just across the street in a large free car park with our car visible from our window. Enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend the Manoir for easy access to the Vosges and a comfortable and interesting stay with a very conscientious, entertaining and caring host.

NetherlandsThere was no separate bathroom (no door or wall), no shower (only a bathtub), no chairs or table in the room, there was dog poop in the backyard and it was quite pricey for the area. Also no coffeemaker in the room, we had to pay extra for that. And paid parking for such a tiny village is questionable.
Location, nice building, the breakfast and a good bed.

GermanyThe place was VERY cold. As the building was old, windows couldn't maintain the temperature and I couldn't sleep at all after a long drive. room was equipped with an AC which couldn't warm the room AT ALL, I kept it on all night but it was cold in the morning as a fridge. I left at 6 am to just seat on my car and be warm and take a nap in a warmer place. Because there was NO isolation, the floor of the room was Freezing. I put on all my clothes to a bit of sleep. The bath tube was just in the corner of the room which wasn't comfortable as no separation from the room and you had to sit in the tube to do the bath., The toilet is just separated by a half wall.

A very unique lovely old French villa in a quiet town. Good location if you want a quiet place to sleep and not too far from ‘free way’. The place is under ongoing renovations, and when the owner René is finished the villa will be a beautiful place. We had a big renovated room. Beds were great and there was enough space for 2 adults in bed and two teenagers in the sofa bed. Breakfast was also good.
