How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewVERY friendly. Wonderful breakfast. Superb directions and information about Lourdes. Great dinner recommendations. When onward train scheduled were altered, host Myriam took charge and secured perfect alternatives to get us to our next destination in a very timely manner. That was above and beyond expectations.

Verified reviewIt was my second time in Lourdes and my first time staying at Myriam's place. I travel a lot, and Myriam is one of the most caring hosts I have ever met. The apartment looked exactly like it does in the photos. There was an option for both sweet and savory breakfast. (One small suggestion: I would add some fresh vegetables to the breakfast, e.g., tomato or salad.) Tea, juice, and coffee were also available. You could take any leftover breakfast items with you to eat during the day, which was a nice touch. The room was very cozy and warm. The bathroom had shampoo and shower gel available, and of course, towels and a hair dryer were provided in the room. During my stay in Lourdes, the weather was rainy and quite cold (even though it was mid-April). However, Myriam turned on the heater, and the apartment was very warm. I was even able to dry my wet items — in my case, my boots. I will definitely come back to this place and highly recommend it for both short and long stays.

Verified reviewCentrally located to the Sanctuary and the Our Lady of Lourdes Basillica. Walking distance to the shops, restaurants and train station is 7 minutes walk!
I like everything, there’s even a chapel inside the house at the basement where mass is held every week. 100% highly recommended to all pilgrims and tourist who wanted to pay respect and visit Our Lady of Lourdes and St.Bernadette.

Verified reviewMyriam is the best host you could have ever anticipated. :) She’s warm, kind, very friendly and responsive. The breakfast she prepared, especially the omelette, is the best I have ever tested. The location is perfect. A lift down you could get access to the shops, restaurants, bars. Then just 3-5 minutes walk you are there at the sanctuary. The house and the room are super clean and comfortable. Highly recommend for anyone who is traveling on your own or with your partner.

Verified reviewBreakfast is typical French with baguette, Bio products, coffee or tea, fruit juice and croissant. Miriam, the landlady was extremely nice helpful, she gave a lot of advice about the places to visit, where to eat, etc. She even dropped me off at the train station upon my departure. The environment is quiet and there's a small chapel in the basement for a quiet moment of prayers and recollection. I also met a pair of visiting couples with very interesting experiences that they shared.
Nothing particular that I can think of as far as the stay is concerned. On the first day, the nearby elevator provided by the city at the end of the road in order to go two levels below to the main street, was defective and I had to walk through a steep set of stairs instead.

Verified reviewThe breakfast was amazing. Myriam was a wonderful hostess. The location was good but the lift to the Main Street goes off at 8:00 pm , it was along walk around or lots of steps.
I wished there was a common area in the house. We had to come in one night by 8:00pm and there was nowhere to hang out except our small room. We tried to play a game but rooms are too small for four people to hang out together.

Verified reviewWe thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The house was clean and cozy, and our room was comfortable and well equipped. The breakfast offered a wide variety of food and they all tasted great (especially the omelette). Our host, Myriam, is the absolute gem! She was very kind and attentive to her guests’ needs, and gave us lots of advice on exploring the city and the nearby towns.

Verified reviewEverything. But the best was the host ❤️. Myriam was so kind and thoughtful and made some really useful suggestions. She also gave us discount tickets for Pic de Jer. The location was perfect and the breakfast was huge. Excellent quality items which Myriam gave us to make a pack up for lunch. Also, each room is allocated a fridge for keeping your own food.

As for the absence of televisions in the rooms, this is a deliberate choice by the house to preserve the peace and quiet of everyone, as this house, which is not a hotel, welcomes people who are either on spiritual retreats or on the Compostelle pilgrimage route. The bed pillows could have been a little softer.

Verified reviewMyriam is the most wonderful beautiful host, she took great care of us even picked us up at the train station. Our luggage was delayed, she drove us to the main shopping area to buy supplies needed. Breakfast is great nothing is too much trouble even after walking all day & arriving back she offered a cuppa.
