Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomRailway line just behind hotel however soundproof when balcony doors are closed.
Welcoming staff, clean rooms on the quirky side. Paid parking on street. Short drive to city centre.

SwitzerlandMaybe a Nespresso Machine would be nice and perhaps a complementary bottle of water would be nice? Parking was a bit of a mission too but do-able.
Room was nice with a big nice shower with soap, shampoo & towels galore and a huge Smeg Frig but empty :( Beds and Linen were very nice and comfy and very cool cushions and decor. No charge for our dog as well :)

GermanyThe bathrooms were more sterile and simplistic as any hospital I've been in and I work in the medical sector. Just white walls with the essential bath/toilet applications attached, like it was made to be hosed off. A weird combination with the main hotel room.
Beautiful Hotel from the outside, lobby and restaurant. Hotel rooms are nice, but not as premium as the pictures suggest. Awesome food in the restaurant. Especially the pizza!

United KingdomNo TV - but that’s a statement by the hotel. Location was 20 minutes drive away from town centre but it was in an amazingly cool area called the Confluence which had everything you need. Funky design
The young team of staff were amazing. Helpful, friendly and charming. Couldn’t do enough to help and were brilliant with things like restaurant bookings

United StatesThere are no other businesses or places to eat within close walking distance. You have to walk about 15 min either direction. Wasn't a big deal for me, but when it was 90F+ outside it would've been nice to have something closer. There was no place to put one's luggage in the room other than the floor, where it was kind of in the way. Some of the decor was too self-consciously hip and precious for my taste (do people really buy the MOB-labeled merch for sale in the lobby?) but easy enough to look past.
Another review panned this hotel as being for Millennials. While I agree that's clearly the target market, as a 63 YO baby boomer I really enjoyed my stay. Staff were very helpful and friendly, room was clean, comfortable and very quiet (and dark for sleeping). Great shower. And a lovely luxury to have a small balcony to sit and enjoy the evening (or morning) air. A/C worked very well when it was 34C/94F outside. As an unexpected added bonus, I partook in the onsite evening activities during my weekend stay: a music trivia contest one night, and a drag show on the terrace the next. As a solo traveler I welcomed the opportunity to be around other people and enjoy fun activities. The library and terrace are much nicer areas to hang out and relax than one typically finds in a hotel; felt very home-y and relaxed. One night I ate dinner in the restaurant and my salmon filet with veggies was tasty, and the price reasonable (i.e. not artificially high because it was onsite). The hotel was easy to get to by public transportation (tram stop 5 min walk) and very convenient to go to the Confluence museum.

TurkeyThe only problem we had was the bathroom sink being blocked but we didn't ask them to fix it as we stayed only one night. If we did I am sure they would help with that too.
The stuff is great, everybody is so friendly and helpful. Food is very good as well.

United StatesTwo chairs on the balcony please. Impossible to enjoy the company of others when only one chair and a footstool are provided. Noticeable mold in the shower. Only pizza available at the restaurant (though it was quite tasty). Not much else around for options; public transport would be needed to get to an area with wider variety of shops/ restaurants/ etc.
The MOB hotel was exactly what we needed for an overnight stay in the city. The efficient layout made the best use of the small space in the room, though we did not understand why only one chair was available on the balcony. A second would have made it possible for us to sit together and enjoy the limited view beyond the large green euronews building. The bed was comfortable, easy access to plug in our electronic devices, and it was very quiet. Not a long walk to public transport. We would consider staying here again knowing that it has all the basics we need and we can save some money for luxury in other areas of our trip.
