Shame there isn't a small enclosed car park for customers, but nothing happened to our car on the street overnight.

Amazing location, a few minutes walk from the centre. The room was clean and big enough for us. The lady at reception went out of her way to help us, suggested where to park, rifilled our bottles of water and kept them in the fridge in the kitchen overnight, even carried some of our luggage upstairs (we had so many bags!). The next day she was happy to keep some of our bags behind the counter while we went out for a walk. The next person at reception (a man) was also very friendly.

The airconditioning makes a loud noise every 1 to 2 minutes, making it impossible to sleep with the airconditioning on.

Friendly staff, cool comfortable room (it was very hot so we were very grateful for the air conditioning!), great location. There was no private parking but we were able to park our car right outside the hotel. It was a short walk from the hotel to the centre of town. Good breakfast. We were made to feel very welcome.

About a 20 minute walk into the town. No elevator, had to lug bags up three flights of stairs. No coffee in room. No Wi-Fi in room. No places to eat in the immediate vicinity.

Clean. Safe. Quiet. Slept three people comfortably. Good bathroom. Parked on street around the corner for very cheap. Lovely staff. A/c was fine. Breakfast was fine - simple continental, but not a huge variety and a fair price.

only negative, if you arrive earlier than check in time there is no where to wait. We arrived in 35 degrees of heat but got lucky, a resident let us in.

This hotel is good for easy and cheap on street parking, within walking distance to centre, (bars resteraunts, sites etc)

Hotel Montchapet Dijon Centre is excellently located near both the train station and within easy walking distance from Dijon Centre which makes it an ideal location for any traveler. There is a Utile on the same street for groceries and essentials and one can easily breakfast and enjoy every morning in the nearby Jardin Darcy before exploring the city. Room was very comfortable, well air conditioned, and had mechanized shutters on the windows for security. My view was street side with pleasant greenery planted outside to maintain privacy. The concierge was very welcoming and helpful, providing me with a map of the Owl Trail and allowing me to practice my French. I'm very happy to have had such a pleasant stay in Dijon and the Hotel Montchapet definitely contributed to my favorable first impression of the city. I would recommend both the city and this lovely hotel to any traveler.

11 minutes walk from centre of town which was a slight drawback for those with shaky knees, but very doable.

The two managers were so very helpful.... they gave us advice on visiting the city. They recommended excellent places to eat. We could not have wished for a better team of hosts.

Transport from rail station to hotel and hours transport from hotel to airport. Morning, last bus from hotel at 08.45, but hotel day will finish later.

Late check-in after 15:00 (we arrived on a public holiday and check-in was 17:00). Room smelled musty and was small. Also it says there is a bar and has room service however that is not the case.

It was close to the train station near the centre of Dijon. Staff were friendly and helpful.

No mini-fridge in the room, but the hosts were kind enough to let me keep some perishable goods in their fridge. The room was a bit on the small side for a family of 2 adults and two kids.

Excellent location near the historical centre of Dijon. The team at the hotel were super helpful and offered excellent advice on what to see and where to eat in the city. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable.

The staff has the bad habit of saying "I told you this yesterday, I already gave you this info." Not only to my family, but to other costumers as well. That's rude and the costumer has the right to ask twice for an information, no reason for impatience. The breakfast is very basic, with no warm and salty option, and no fresh fruit. For 12euro I'm France, that could be improved.

The location is excellent. The rooms and the breakfast area are quite new and comfortable, good beds. The price is fair and I would stay there again.

Not a dislike as it was fine, but worth mentioning: the hotel only has paid for on street parking. We had a car full of ski equipment so the hotel recommended that we parked in a nearby underground car park. This was fine with us. It was just a short walk to the hotel and the underground parking was very good value - just €6 from 5pm overnight till 8am ish.

We initially booked a one night stop over on the way to the Alps, but we liked the hotel so much, we booked another night for the way home. We had 2 different triple rooms for our 2 nights. Both rooms were clean, spacious and beds were very comfortable. Good showers. Breakfast was good value. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is just a short walk away from Dijon centre.

I received a room with a small window to an outside passage / staircase, there were people walking there constantly in the morning and I had to keep the curtain closed because if not those people would see me in bed. Therefore it was very dark in the room, no daylight, nothing.

The employee at the reception was amazing, so friendly and chatty and welcoming. It's worth coming to this hotel just to meet him!!
