Everything! Excellent hosts - friendly but not overbearing; excellent advice on local attractions, parking and restaurants. A wonderful house - charming, authentic and spotlessly clean. Very comfortable beds with crisp, quality linen. A great French breakfast, with a home made surprise each day. Facilities were perfect - games, books, tourist brochures, access to a large fridge, coffee and tea making facilities. The property has a large, shared area where guests can prepare food and eat should they wish. The swimming pool was again spotless and with no smell of chlorine. The weather was below average for the time of year but the pool temperature remained at a comfortable 28' C. There are some lovely spots to sit by the river and read. A very relaxing location situated in the middle of many of the Loire Valley's best known attractions.

Nothing that I would change with the property or the hosts. Be aware that as with many other rural locations in France, restaurants close on a Monday evening, so organise your dining arrangements in advance.

This beautiful property in the Loire region was exceptional. We were very warmly welcomed by Laurent and Marie Hélène who gave us good advice on things to visit. The rooms were perfect for a family with 2 young kids, quiet, clean, comfortable, with a fan in summer. They even provide fridge space to store our food and facilities (plates etc) to have our picnic on site. The pool was brilliant and we were able to fish on the property! And they have a nice children's area with books and games to keep younger ones busy. We will be back!

The room was very nice, with air conditioner, clean. The pool was nice as well. And the best part of course friendly and helpful owners.

Everything good. Waterside country location. Historic mill building. Great pool with picnic area and fridge. Very nice breakfast. Free easy parking. Great hosts. Will definitely stay again.

The property is located in a quiet area surrounded by fields and next to the river. I like the property for its authentic features with it being 16th century mill conversion. It has beautiful gardens and a large swimming pool. The property feels very homely and the owner was fantastic. they made us all feel welcome and they were very attentive, friendly and knowledgable about the area. The property is also within short walking distance to a vineyard with cave aged wines and hand dug by 10th generations. We truly enjoyed our stay in Moulin De Bacchus and we will definitely be going back.

Marie and Laurent were exceptional hosts! The breakfast was really nice with fresh and home made products. The location is stunning, with rich culture and beautiful views. Laurent made some great recommendations for things to do around the area! We would definitely visit again.

The rooms are spacious and immaculate. The grounds and landscaping are absolutely beautiful. The Hosts are very welcoming, friendly and helpful.

There is nothing not to like. Our stay was perfect in every way.

The location was nice. The grounds were expansive. And the breakfast was very good with a little surprise.

This place is dreamy! Better than the pics with super accommodating hosts. We hope to be back! Great little restaurant close by as well: La Petite Epicerie.

Beautiful location, very relaxing

This is a paradise in the middle of great area of beautiful castles and gardens. We spent wonderful time in this renovated old mill. Everything was perfect. Comfortable beds, big and clean rooms, charming sorroundings, tasty breakfest. The owners are soo kind and nice and helpful. We loved every minute there

Lourent and Marie-Helene were gracious, wonderful host who were hospitable, accommodating whilst charming and helpful. Will stay there again if opportunity presents in a second. This on top of picture perfect surroundings, beautiful sound of river……

Wonderful old water mill accommodation in a beautiful setting. Hosts were very welcoming. Bedrooms were comfortable and spacious. Nice breakfast with local produce. Great location in the country near popular towns. Hosts provided great information on the nearest chateau to visit.

A very pretty property with unique and interesting features as it is an old water mill. We used the pool, the two outdoor seating areas the lounge and loved the restful sound of the river flowing. But the best part is the exceptional hospitality of Helen and Laurent who were so welcoming and helpful throughout our stay offering their advice and local knowledge. Cannot praise highly enough.

We booked our room spontaneously since we were on a private “Tour de France” and decided from day to day where to go. Marie-Hélène and Laurent were fantastic hosts - they made us feeling welcome and at home. They provided us with tons of information about activities in the larger area. Our apartment was huge- two bedrooms and a bathroom with build in cabinets, even too huge for two people. The breakfast was typical French (which ist quite sweet), but our hosts made us everyday scrambled eggs and we got home made yoghurt, and a surprise like a piece of cake or pancakes. The house is from the 17th century as far as I remember, it was an old mill and it is renovated with a lot of love and a good eye for details. A little library with books and games for kids was located in the middle floor. Since we don’t speak French we had no problems with communication in English. We didn’t use the pool but it was clean and other guests enjoyed it. If we are going again to the Loire region, we will for sure return. I got a piece of France which was like in my romantic imagination. Good job and good luck to the hosts. Thank you, vielen Dank and merci!

It was incredible stay and I could not wish for more. Place is beautiful itself and has everything that you might need: spacious room, comfortable bed, big bathroom with nice shower. But I would like to point to one huge advantage: owners. I can not remember any other place where people would be so nice and kind. They helped us a lot not only with small recommendations like local restaurants or best local winery. But they also cared about us and always checked weather and gave best advices about day planing. I would recommend this place to my closest friends and would love to go there again. And if I could give 100 out of 10 I would do it.

Fantastic couple run this, so friendly and welcoming. Lovely location very peaceful and convenient for many places in Loire valley. Helpful for evening meals too. Room was huge with excellent facilities.

Did find breakfast of bread, croissant, yoghurt and a daily different pastry surprise a little odd. Would have loved fruit, cheese, meats. Also opportunity to choose what you get, rather than get what your given. That said it was lovely, just an unusual idea. Shame no room housekeeping in the day.

We spent a week in this beautiful house. Our house was nice, all facilities are great. A lot of space for 5 persons. Very comfortable. Surrounding was great. Kids play with ball - thank you for this. The hosts were great, informative and helpful. Pool was a little bit cold. The location was great, pretty close to most attractions on the Loire Valley.
