Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

It’s on the ground floor and we got unlucky when the people right above us decided to party 3-5am one random evening. The sound insulation with the windows is pretty good but has no chance against super loud music and footsteps.
Had a wonderful 2-week stay at the studio. Easy to find with the instructions provided and conveniently located - groceries, restaurants, bars nearby and most importantly Chamonix Sud station for bussing to the slopes. We also liked that despite its convenient location it was quiet and away from the hustle and bustle of Chamonix centre. Everything we needed was supplied, and Luce was very responsive to messages. Hope to be back soon!

Extremely difficult to find. Address in booking.com different from advised address from owner. Need better instructions to find the apartment and the block it is in. Very narrow bunk beds. Very cramped entrance. Not much space for luggage. Small bathroom. Ok for 2 for a night though
Good location. Parking available. Wifi ok but a bit slow. Clean

Shower needs a rubber mat on the floor for safety. Better directions to finding the apartment would have saved a phone call as no apartment number or floor number was listed on the booking instructions.
Beautifully presented and very welcoming. A relaxing and friendly atmosphere… Great to relax and shops and restaurants close by. Also very close to the train station and bus station.

The owner tries hard, but this is the first floor with a very small room and bunk beds. Parking is far away and it is difficult to wait for free space

It felt very small. The shower also seemed to leak. The main bed (sofa) was not that comfortable.

Nothing. Everything was so great!
We were directed very well by the owner and everything was as per what was communicated to us. There were no hassles in finding the keybox and the both the entrance key and parking key were kept together.

The host is very unwelcoming and even rude. 1. She didn't provide us with the lock code (to retrieve the keys), yet over the phone instead of just telling us the code for faster check-in she kept insisting she did provide it (if you are too proud to admit your fault, at least 1st take a look at the message you sent us, only then draw your conclusions). 2. After we got the key, the same happened with the apartment number. 3. Before that, there were issues with her instructions about the parking (the instructions were not applicable for our arrival day). 4. There are a Nespresso machine and a kettle in the room. Both are on the photos on Booking.com. However, there were no coffee pods, no tea. When we asked, she replied, this time in French, "it is not listed"! She clearly forgot to refill, but instead of apologizing she replied in French. If it is "not listed", then remove photos with these appliances! 5. There is no hairdryer (imo a standard feature for every stay). 6. There was only single bottle of soap in the bathroom, no shampoo, nothing else. Greed and rudeness are ruining the place.

It was impossible to get to my apartment as I never received any details on how to check in. When I phoned the number they provided I was told by the lady it is to difficult to explain. I then received the details for the first time and still the tag for the parking did not work. If can avoid as assistance to get into your unit is virtually nil
