How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewBeautiful apartment, very well equipped, perfect location for visiting Monaco, excellent internet, has everything really you could wish for.
Bed was rock hard and extremely uncomfortable so got very little sleep due to this. It is the only thing that lets down the apartment but it is a very important thing and should be addressed.

Verified reviewThe attractive apartment felt like a home from home! It was very comfortable & well equipped. The WiFi was excellent plus tea & coffee was in abundance as well as lots of other little well thought out things to make your stay as comfortable as possible. In particular Patrick the host deserves his super host status. He made himself available at all times & he is a kind & considerate man! He clearly wants his guests to have the most wonderful of times. My photos may appear a little dark but that's because I had half masked the shutters as it was a particularly hot day!
Beausoleil is very beautiful but also very hilly so the disabled & elderly need to do some research before they come to find the many outdoor escalators & lifts which will help them make light of their travels.

Verified reviewGood location, 800m walk to the train station and popular attractions. Patrick, our host, was so nice, he picked us up at the train station and dropped us to the train station when we left, and gave us a tour of the city. Thanks Patrick!
All good

Verified review- Host was extremely helpful and friendly, thank you! - Very well-equipped apartment had everything we could have needed - Good location about 5-10 minutes walk from Monaco - Small supermarket about 5-10 minutes walk away - Great wifi/internet speed - Good shower
- The bed and sofa were extremely hard, which is really bad for your back. I ended up having to put the spare duvet underneath the sheet as I was waking up incredibly stiff. The sofa(bed) was uncomfortable to sit on, for the same reason. - Being a European (non-UK) city, the bins are collected overnight and in their infinite wisdom, the council decided to dig up and re-tarmac the road outside the apartment between 9:30pm and 6am!! Sound insulation is really poor, due to bad design of the patio doors, so we barely got any sleep for the first two nights - bring ear plugs and just hope. (Note this isn't the fault of the owner or the apartment, of course). - The whole apartment block is air-conditioned to about 20C, which means there's always fresh air (great) but it's dry (not great). There is also an additional air-conditioner for heating or cooling but this makes the air even drier and caused havoc with my throat and eczema so we ended up leaving it off and just wearing a jumper instead (bit of a first world problem, admittedly!). A simple electric heater just to bring the temperature up a degree or two would have been far better. - Due to the apartment block air conditioning, be prepared to enjoy the smells of the neighbouring Indian restaurant every evening and Sunday morning... I love a good curry but it did get a bit much!

Verified reviewA beautiful apartment in a great location. Nicely arranged, clean and comfortable. The owner is very kind. My advice is that when you search for accommodation and come across this one, stop looking and rent this one. You wont regret. Perfect location for visiting Monaco.
Nothing.

Verified reviewThis is 100% the best host I have stayed with. The apartment does require a little bit of walking as listed on the site to the beach, worth it. The host took his time, to explain everything to us in the apartment! Showed us the nearest grocery store, gave us a man and it was just 100% amazing. The apartment had two coffee machines, jam, bread, hairdryer anything you can think of, better than any hotel. I cannot say one negative thing about this apartment.

Verified reviewThe gentleman who lets out the apartment is such a delight! He was welcoming and helpful with check-in, how to get places, and even offered a lift to the train at check out. The apartment itself is better than i expected. It's nothing flash, but it's affordable and so close to monaco, literally 1 street away. There's a washing machine and plenty of amenities in the kitchen. Even bread and jam for breakfast.
The only thing that I'd change would be a normal bed, not a sofa bed, but it does the job for a short stay.

Verified reviewPatrick, the owner, is a very kind and helpful person. He offered us transport to the airport in Nice on a Sunday very early in the morning at 5am. The little apparent has everything you need, it is new and the kitchen is well equipped. The children loved the bunk bed. It was absolutely clean. There is a laundry machine in the bathroom. I was there for a conference and walked 10-15 minutes to the Grimaldi Forum. Close by are shops and a supermarket.
Only the view on a parking lot (after some days) and the pillows are a little too hard. Patrick had left 2 further ones in a room next door, unfortunately I missed that. It is a very good value for being so close to Monaco! Can absolutely recommend it!!
