How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Tired interior & bathroom slow dribble filling toilet cistern. No coffee making facilities in room
Close enough to walk into town & with car park so ideal for that Bar in hotel next door Clear instructions to get in after hours. Quiet at night to get to slerp

Room was clean. The staff were nice. It's an affordable option on the outskirts of town. It's great value if you are on a budget, which we were, so it met our expectations. Parking was easy here and looked like it would be a nightmare at the more central hotels.

Car park was full so we had to park in another car park across the road The breakfast was very limited just cereal, toast and bread. some fresh croissants might have been nice.
Location was good with easy self check in for late arrivals. simple and clean. triple rooms great for families.

Breakfast could be improved. We have stayed before and there have been cold meats, this time the only protein was processed cheese slices in a cellophane wrapper.
The location, within walking distance of Bayeux, and the price were what drew us to this hotel. Everything else was satisfactory, as can be expected in a budget hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The location is wonderful, easy walking distance to most sights and the centre. Parking was great, right outside, but be sure to arrive before late evening to get a space. The staff were really friendly, especially the two younger ladies on reception & breakfast time. Our room was very small, basic but we didn't need anything else for our 2 night stop-over stay. The bathroom reminded me of a boat cabin bathroom, it's that sort of style but the shower was very nice.

Bathroom is tiny but manageable and breakfast is a bit too simple for me, I’d prefer hot breakfast too, but what was there was good

No tea and coffee making facilities in the room but there was a machine in the lobby .
Location was good, basic room but adequate for 1 night stay. Parking was free and ample. A hairdryer was available from reception.

The toilet was very small
The room was clean and the receptionist very kind. They let us in 1 hour in advance with no problems. It is very close to the centre only 15 minutes walking

The bathroom was quite small, but previous reviews had stated this so it was no surprise.

Bunk bed above main bed, banged head a couple of times reaching underneath

Shower is small and a bit of an odd setup (reminds me of a cruise ship), though functional.
Good value. Staff very helpful. We did not try the breakfast buffet though the restaurant lunch in the neighboring building was excellent. Less than 15min walk to town or the train station. We didn't have a car but there is lots of available parking.

- The bathroom was quite narrow and small. It is a built-in, modular bathroom, so not much can be changed. But the shower should have thicker, wider curtains and a higher edge to prevent water pouring over. - Not much else
- The price, for starters :) - Breakfast affordable at €6,90. Basic but sufficient. Good Rustic Baguette bread. - Little noise from traffic. We were on the backside, near the road; but the walls and double glass window isolated well. - Friendly staff. - The beds were comfortable. - Location! A short 10min walk to Bayeux city centre. - Close to excellent Battle for Normandy museum.
