Breakfast was problematic because too many people arrived at the same time and there was little left: no croissants, no bread, no water, no cold milk for cereal. I reported it at reception. So we stood waiting for a long time. Then having got a bread, the orange juice ran out too! So obviously noone was checking... Just responding to the crisis... No point saying that the tables needed wiping down and more teaspoons!! Felt lucky to get breakfast eventually but it wasn't stress-free

For one night for the price it was exactly what we needed but the rooms were small and entirely functional with no attempt at character. There were two floors above ground and no lift. Reception and breakfast were in the next door hotel

Stayed here many times, it's a perfect stop, distance wise for our journey. On this occasion and it has happened before, the first room given to us had not been cleaned, but it was easily resolved. Also, air con. not the best.

There was no proper explanation of how to get in even though we called to say we would be late to arrive (11pm). We were lucky we saw another customer who told us to go round to the back or we would have never got in.

I booked 2 rooms. It was very cold all night in one of the rooms due to broken heater / heating not working. The other room was fine. Better sign-posting of where check-in is would have been helpful.

Staff great, had a meal in the restaurant on arrival which was fine. Location not far from motorway was good. Breakfast area well stocked and inviting.

It was tricky to realise the reception was in the next building. The area wasn't particularly nice and in the middle of nowhere. The building looked tired and the room was also tired and not very cosy. The temperature was low outside and the room was cold to enter...it took a long time to heat up when we turned the heater on.

We arrived late so had to use automatic check in. Our party had 3 rooms but each had to be checked in and paid for separately and it wouldn’t accept the same card for more than one transaction, thankfully we did have 3 cards with us but can foresee this being a problem for some. One of our party had an end room which was very noisy with the heat exchanger going all night .

Location quiet nice rural outlook from the rear , restaurant & bar was pleasant & staff were helpful.

The property was in need of some maintenance, shower rose not attached, toilet seat not attached. Air conditioning not blowing cold .

Better outside area ,there was some picnic benches but grass was very long underneath them and next to football pitch

Liked access to room was via outside steps rather than internal corridor.Parking and local amenities very good and good location

The shower riser bracket was broken and I had to improvise to get the shower head to stay in place.

It was as you’d expect from a cheap motel but it was comfortable and clean enough for a good night sleep.
