Very new hotel with lovely rooms near the train station

The walk to downtown is long, about 30-40 mn, so you would have to take taxis or the tramway. We didn't mind as we like to walk. There are not many restaurants nearby and, as is often the case with train stations, there are some stragglers hanging about. Still, it was safe when we arrived around midnight and the area immediately surrounding the hotel is new and very clean.

A lovely modern hotel not far from the train station. Very new and therefore all "shiny", it is a perfect place if you are travelling through for one reason or another. You can fill up your water bottles at the Culligan fountains on each floor and the bathrooms are nicely different from the usual layout. USB and regular plugs on each night stand and a small desk and room for suitcases. We rented a car from Budget which is a 5 mn walk away.

The location is perfect, 5 mins walk from the train station. Bus stop directly across the road goes into Bordeaux Centre. Rooms are spacious and spotless. We travelled as a family of 4. Interconnecting rooms were fabulous. A really lovely experience.

Hôtel was really well appointed and had lovely staff. Hôtel is a short walk from the train station but we didn't hear a thing. We enjoyed the walk into Bordeaux most days but the trams/tram replacements leave from right outside the hotel.

We could hear a bit some of the traffic noise this time (room 2nd floor, facing the bridge) probably also do to the traffic deviation as some of the main tram lines were under maintenance. Overall it is clearly better VS. staying in the old town in terms of quietness at all times.

We stayed at the hotel a few years back too, before it was bought by the Radisson Group. Generally would say that it had more personality before and it felt more cosy and boutique style even if the capacity is quite big. The staff is just as kind and helpful, was glad to recognize some faces at the reception. They were very helpful with the bike we had to store and addressed fully all our questions.

40 min walk to the old town, but we chose it because of proximity to railway station so that was fine for us ! We were only there one night and left early so can't comment on breakfast.

Near to station , we arrived by train. Our top tip - if using the station would be to find Halles 3 ( there's a tunnel that goes under the platforms to the 'back' of the station ) and the Radisson is only 5 mins walk from there. Google maps took us a long way round. Warm welcome from reception staff. Comfortable room. Good value.

For me the only thing was the air con! It was very hot when I visited, it didn't ruin the stay, but could be a little better efficient! I suppose the are is a bit under construction, so a bit out on a limb.

Really nice, modern and comfortable environment Spacious room, great bathroom and lovey restaurant- great breakfast!!

Good hotel convenient for Bordeaux St Jean station

Less convenient a place to stay when visiting the city while the nearby tram route is closed for upgrading of the network. The hotel is not very well marked - we could not see any sign giving its name or saying it was a Radisson.

Large modern hotel conveniently located near Bordeaux's St Jean railway station (especially when we found the Hall 3 exit from the station nearest the hotel). Good size room with very comfortable beds. Good breakfast, and nice bar.

Breakfast, the Manager who do doubt is a nice guy was too overbearing ...far to busy and frantic, rather than relaxed and in control. I don't like to criticize the guy because he was doing his best, but probably not suited to the role

The bed was great, the room very cosy, all nice! Just difficult to find it because there is no sign of the hotel, it is behind the station and not of easy access without a car or if you are not at the station, since it is a small walk behind the station.

Hotel signage was confusing as didn’t say Radisson hotel we walked past it and it took some time to locate and this was using Google maps and asking (this just could be me!!) Suggest some room info especially about air con instructions No milk sachets in room Yes I could have asked for the two things mentioned they weren’t an issue but just expected it Generally nothing to complain about!!

Excellent location near train station and tram stop into city centre Friendly welcome and easy registration Our signature room was clean and comfortable and a good size the general ambience was clean and modern Good choices at breakfast

We had a very pleasant stay at the Radisson Hotel in Bordeaux. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. We especially appreciated the spacious rooms, which made our stay even more relaxing. The location was convenient and made it easy for us to explore the city. Overall, a great experience and we would happily stay here again.
