    - rooms are very basic. You get no hairdryer, no kettle, cheap toilet paper, shower gel they provide you will last 2 showers max - no room service, no one will change your towel or empty the trash can - room could’ve been cleaner - overpriced for this money

    - comfy bed - decent breakfast - close to the train station

    Old hotel

The place needs renovation,be aware there is no kettle or any tea, coffee offers in the room, no hair dryer, you have to clean your room by yourself and take out rubbish from your room by yourself.during 5 days stay there was no towel change. Maybe you need to ask in the reception...who knows?I got a kettle for 20 EUR deposit, i recommend to book a studio room with kitchen facilities as this way you at least can have a tea and cook for yourself. Price is the same,I regret I did not know about it before I booked. The only shop in this village close 19.30 .Eric the host was polite and thank you for the kettle)you can pay separately for the breakfast in the hotel if you wish

Quite basic rooms but no issues. A kettle would have been helpful in the single rooms.

Perfect location next to the train and short walk to shops in Argentiere (3-5mins)

On Sunday morning from 8- 10 am when it was raining and I was after 2 tiring hikes someone above me was pulling furnitures or I do not know what was done but sounded like that. It was frustrating.

Good location easy access to Chamonix and Mont Blanc, comfortable room, accomodation looks better than its age, next to the forest but 2 minutes from the pretty village and the bus stop. The room is big, comfortable, neighbours were in silence except one time. One of the peaks seen from my room which had also a balcony. Room furniture is practical, have enough space for everything.

We booked a garden view but got the railway line we asked to move but she said she couldn't even though we know some had not booked in to their rooms yet. Only one very soft pillow was given. The wallpaper was peeling off the wall , but it did not matter because the handy location of this place is good. Storage was good in the roo. But needed someing on both sides of the room .

I've stayed before and I loved it .destination is superb, value for money superb, breakfast was good a hot choice on occasion woukd be nice but defo not a complaint.

Nice location with friendly staff. The breakfast buffet was good with all the usual choices. The room had a balcony with pleasant views. The hotel is slightly dated but perfectly serviceable and clean. The price is very reasonable for the Chamonix Valley.

The kitchenette was rather small. There were not many surfaces for preparing food or setting used dishes before/after washing, and the selection of cooking utensils was limited. There was a sponge scourer for cleaning dishes, but no other cleaning implements or liquids. However, I have had similar experiences in other studios/apartments with a kitchenette, so maybe that is just the normal standard.

The location is excellent. Only a 2-minute walk at most to the train station, and only a little further to the bus stop and the main street in the village. There are tumbling rivers to the side of the property and the rear, and access to the forest and multiple paths immediately behind also. Nice views of the surrounding mountains, including the Aiguille Verte. Argentiere itself is very pleasant - much quieter than Chamonix, but still with more facilities than most of the other villages in the valley, a nice place to wander in the evening, and offering fantastic access to walks directly from the village or via short trips on the convenient public transport.

There is a bar but not many people in the shared areas, even in the evening during peak season in the summer. Could be great to have some events organized, if that fits the scope of the hostel

I had my own room, which was very nice. The breakfast was good and the staff friendly.

The place is a bit dated which is visible. Some upgrades & slight overall improvement in maintenance could make this place even better.

The rooms are very spacious and comfy. Breakfast was decent and the lobby had ample indoor/outdoor space to relax and chat. The location is also ideal to quickly get to any sites in Chamonix valley with the train and/or the bus just outside or this place. Also beautiful trails just around the chalet. We were able to walk upto two glaciers from our rooms. Great value for price.

It’s quite old facility, and fitness was only treadmill and bicycle. Nothing like additional weight that you could do a functional training.

The location is great. Also breakfast is great which was a surprise. You could have coffee, pastries, different types of bread, eggs, cheese and ham, butter and a lot of basic sweet things like cereal with yougurt and jam. They also had almond and soya milk which was nice.

Good experience overall , some pointers ... include I was supposed to have a terrace and I didn't get one. I didn't say much as access to the outside was very close , however it shouldn't be the case. The second point is towels. Apparently towels are extra, which is OK but I asked for them and never received any. I had one with me , so I was OK. Finally there was no washing up accessories , no sponges no washing up liquid. Other than that and for the price it was acceptable.

Nothing that I could fault at this accommodation. For the price this place was superb.

Exceptional value for money. Great location close to the town, train station and hiking routes. Comfortable room and bed. It was a self catering room with all the cooking facilities and cooking utensils I required. Staff very friendly and very helpful. I’ve attached a picture of the room and a picture of a view from my balcony, superb view of the forest and Mont Blanc.

The location is great - it us just 100 metres from the train stop (you will get a card to use the train for free in the whole Chamonix Valley), there is a large parking lot, the Chalet is technically in the forrest, there is a large pic-nic area, you wake up with a view of the mountains around. The staff is fantastic, attentive and always smiling. Well, the interior of the studio room and everything in there is like something from 1980s - and like something that has been used every single day of its life - it all looks somehow good and clean, but it needed some time to trust it. All-in-all - this is definitely not Ritz-Carlton, but good value-for-money choice for hikers or climbers, who need a place to sleep after a long day in the mountains - the Chamonix Valley is fantastic.

There was no fridge, microwave or restaurant for a dinner so you have to eat outside- is it not possible to prepare meals if you live in this place. The property is not in Chamonix (Argentiere is separate village close to Chamonix ~10km) but we received free tickets that allow us to get to the Chamonix (from 7 AM to 10 PM). The room was not perfect cleaned.

Perfect place to stay for hikers with beautiful view of the mountains. Close to railway & bus stations (we received free tickets from hotel). The breakfast was delicious but selection was with a small variety (only bakery products like bread/croissants/baguettes etc., cheese, ham, yogurt, fruits and cereals). The room was a little bit small but quiet, clean and comfortable. We had our own bathroom and balcony with beautiful view for the river and mountains

There is no cutlery at all in the rooms. The staff ( not their fault and I should learn french) But they didn't understand some of the questions . A list of where to put rubbish and a list of what you need to bring for the room as you book would be helpful . They do not supply towels washing up things for the kitchen t towels, etc. The bar only opens 5p. Till 8 pm ? And the Web site states that breakfast is optional, but this was never offered.

The location is fabulous, perfect for hiking the train, and the river walk the apartment was adequate sized. The view was amazing
