Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

RomaniaWe had a good stay overall. The room was quite small but fine for a couple, with enough storage space and all the essentials provided. The location is definitely the highlight—being ski-in/ski-out made everything super convenient. It was also good value for money. We really appreciated the hotel lobby, which gave us a nice place to gather with friends, play pool, and hang out without disturbing other guests. On the downside, the kitchen was really small—manageable for simple meals but not ideal if you actually want to cook. There was no hood, which made cooking a bit inconvenient, and no space to dry dishes. We also would have appreciated more than one roll of toilet paper and some basic cleaning products. The sheets and the halls were a bit old, but still acceptable.

NorwayI got a studio room on the city-facing side, which was under the main entrance. The bed is a bit narrow, and the TV is very small, which are both acceptable. The thing that bothered me was the noise - both from the hotel and from outside. People partying, thumping around pretty much all night long, and loud music playing. If you're considering this hotel, make sure to book a mountain-facing side, and remember to bring earplugs. Also, to find the hotel on Google Maps, you need to look for "Residence Tourotel Val Thorens" - drop "Abrineige" from the search, it will take you to the wrong place.
The location is great! Ski lifts are easily available, and grocery stores, bars, shops, and restaurant are all really close. Some planning required when you're coming back from skiing if you want to ski up at the entrance (take Ardrien Theaux, Croissant, or Retour Sud). The room was also pretty well equipped and clean, with a living room, a bathroom, and a kitchenette with a fridge, stove, and a microwave.

SerbiaWould be good to get linen and towel replacement, but seems these items are treated as luxury in whole Val thorens.

AustraliaDecent little stay. Renovated accommodation - new fixtures compared to many old and tired chalets. Small but big enough studio - small kitchenette can get you by if not a big chef. Good on snow position - shortcut access to town centre via snow covered access area. Quiet spot although the walls are a little thin. Otherwise a ten minute walk or free bus shuttle to/from the main bus station. Got a good deal by comparison to other places on offer.

United KingdomYou have to complete an inventory when you check in which includes counting the cutlery and literally every other item in the room. If you lose an item you get charged per item. I understand it is basic accommodation but this is the first time I’ve ever had to do this. The beds are also two separate beds in drawers under the sofa. This isn’t immediately obvious when you book it and not the most comfortable. You have to pay more for a toaster!!! It was cheap but next time I would rather pay 100-200 more for less hassle. Probably wouldn’t have booked if we’d known and wouldn’t come back, a holiday is supposed to be relaxing. It was also quite a loud location, lots of groups in the rooms around us drinking and listening to music loudly in the evening, also sounds from the street and people outside were quite loud.
The location is absolutely amazing, the best ski in ski out we’ve had in VT with a few different options on how to ski back from the slopes. The view from the bedroom was also lovely. They let us check in early as the room was ready which was great after a long days travel. Really close to the shops and restaurants too.

LuxembourgThe lack of additional cleaning made the room messy from time to time taking time away from the trip for cleaning. The ski lockers could not hold a snowboard. The only big problem was that at our arrival the bathroom even if nice smelled like smoke and the air filter was not working.
The two people studio was small but cosy, good kitchen with good inventory provided. Right on the slopes! This helped a lot especially with the provided ski and boot lockers with affordable price. Great positioning though with a 2 min walk from the store and the centre of the little town.

Russia-apartment is really small, sometimes making it not so comfortable even for 2 -2 twin beds cannot be fully connected - we managed, but might be uncomfortable for some -low/no soundproofing - yet almost no issue during our stay -corridors of the hotel could use some renovation -you are provided with just 1 toilet paper roll and 2 garbage bags. Maybe reception provides on demand, but never dared to ask.
With this accommodation you get exactly what you pay for. Hard to expect more for the given price, especially if you come here with focus on skiing. -Apartment was clean and functional, with new furniture and plenty of kitchen utensils. -Very nice and clean bathroom. -Our room had a balcony with fantastic views on mountains. -Ski-in/ski-out was a big plus. -The hotel is located a bit further away from main street, so surroundings are not noisy. Supermarket in walking distance. -Dedicated storage rooms for skis, snowboards and boots. -300 EUR deposit returned in few days after checkout without any issue. -Kind reception employees

United KingdomThe studio apartment for 2 people is very small, when the second bed is put up there's very little to no room for anything else. I was staying with my daughter so wasn't a problem but would have been rather cosy if travelling with a friend!
Location was great, easy access to slopes and lifts for all levels. Only a short walk to restaurants, bars and supermarket. Studio apartment was clean and modern, and was equipped with everything we needed for a self catering stay.
