How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Very close to the SNCF Matabiau train station. Friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast. Rooms not a bad size, big shower.

Spacious , quiet room with comfy beds. Breakfast was fresh and delicious with lots of choice. Location was so easy when arriving by train. Very pleasant walk from hotel to the centre of town. Staff were helpful and friendly

Toilet was a little small but everything else was spot on, the view from the room wasn't good, but for the price we paid it was excellent, none of what i have said is a moan! great value for money
we came across to Toulouse to watch a rugby Game, we had 2 nights at the Matabi, great location, great price no frills room, but bathroom and toilet were spot on! It is situated near the main railway station so easy access to everywhere, great city, will definitely go back.

I wished the room had a safe for valuables.
Great location near metro, buses, and train stations. The airport bus is 2 minutes of walking distance. There are lots of restaurants and bars nearby, and the city center is just 8 minutes away. Good breakfast and nice staff.

The view of the courtyard wasn’t the best but Was ok as we were out but made the room dark since we had to close the curtains
Spacious rooms with 2 bathrooms that were a plus and very clean.

The elevator seems very old and the 3 p.m. check-in time also seems to be strictly enforced.
Wonderful location in front of the train and bus stations, near the airport bus, close to the city center, restaurants, and bars. Very good breakfast with many options, good AC, and my room had a nice view.

Great for one night. Might have stayed somewhere more authentic or closer to the city centre if we stayed longer. But other than this nothing bad to say about the hotel.
Perfect stay for one night in Toulouse. It was right next to the train station and only a few minutes walk from the city centre. The rooms were clean and the air condition was great with the the heatwave we met in Toulouse. Great value

Great location. Quiet and comfortable. Loved the AC because it was super hot in Toulouse. The hotel also had a nice fizzy water machine in the lobby! Great value for money.

The hotel is in the perfect location for Toulouse Matabiau railway station. We stayed there for one night as we had a very early shuttle to the airport, the shuttle bus stop is very near the hotel. The receptionist could not have been more helpful, he took our bags pending check-in and recommended a great restaurant for lunch, giving us clear directions and a map. A very comfortable bed and a great shower, the two essentials were perfect. Get some milk for the free coffee machine in reception and I'd be even happier! For the money, this basic but comfortable hotel takes some beating.

The pillows were pretty useless and we only had one each, not ideal given they were flat as pancakes. Better or more pillows would go a long way! It was pretty hot when we were there and the aircon wasn’t working properly - it was roasting even on the coolest setting.
The location was amazing.

The door was very hard to lock. The cleaning lady was trying to open our door before 11 o’clock. It was scary. The towel was shedding.
Very close to train station and provide water filling machine. We always bring our water bottle and the water tastes good no weird smell. The room was big.

The lift was tiny and old. No sign of a bar either although we arrived after 11pm.
