How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The the view of the ocean was not that great as the hotel is right next to a metro station and the balcony is facing a large construction crane and a busy noisy street. The balcony could not be used for viewing the ocean or the sunrise

Verified reviewWhat I liked about the property was the fact that I can have this amazing breakfast for €15 and the restaurant had quite a great menu and a full bar
The pool was cold and not heat it at all times when I was there and that was not a good thing, especially since I was expecting to go to the pool and the weather was cold so they should’ve thought about that ahead of time. Also, it was insane to park thank God for the gentleman in the Night Shift. I tipped him so he could park the car for me at night for me not to get a ticket.

Verified reviewThe sea view is very nice and the food was very good. Staff friendly
The rooms are clean but pretty old and need to be refurbished. We unpleasantly saw a cockroach in our room before going to bed. According to the receptionist it’s common practice as it s an old building. I would recommend to treat the hotel maybe or try to find a solution… I was expecting her to do a gesture on the final invoice (we had cocktails, we ate at the property and all). She simply offered us two bottles of water, which was nice but still not very concerned.

We are not responsible for the presence of the crane, do you think that we have given our consent or that we have been asked for our opinion? The answer is obvious. It is up to you to select an establishment according to your preferences, we are located close to the road, it is no secret and our geographical position is easily verifiable. Verified reviewRooms are priced as sea view. Unfortunately there is a big crane (gru) in front of the hotel. I think they don't have to apply the supplement for sea view and sell all the rooms at the same price due to the presence of this big fix machine in front of the hotel.

Verified reviewThe rooftop restaurant/bar was fantastic, great place to chill - it was cloudy the whole time we were there but I imagine it would be stunning on a clear sunny day. Pool and spa area was great. Staff were very helpful and easy to communicate with as we don't speak French. Bed was comfy, room was perfectly fine for what we needed.
The room had a bit of a musty smell when we didn't have the window open but wasn't a big deal. Hotel was about 3km from the main centre of town (we knew this when we booked) but we didnt realise how difficult it would be to get taxis (not many of them around and the phone operators didnt speak english). The hotel was very helpful booking taxis for us when we asked, but it is something to keep in mind if you don't have a car.

Verified reviewVery nice place. The rooftop bar and the pool area are gorgeous. The bar has a great view, good drinks and is a super nice place to sit in the afternoon or in the night. The garden with the pool area is also great. Everything is done with great detail.

Verified reviewExcellent hotel to stay. Despite the fact that the rooms are small, they are big because of the decoration - they had a very good interior designer...🤭. Anyway, you'll have a coffee machine in the room, it's so clean everywhere, and the balconies are comfortable. I'll come back.

The room was a lot smaller than photos depicted and the toilet was in such close proximity to the bed not much privacy as a new couple just a sliding door into bathroom 🥹 so many mosquitoes and the crane spoilt the view and Road made it too noisy to sit on the balance which was advertised as sea view (yes across car park the road and if crane wasn’t in the way) the food was very good but would love to have seen more fish on menu we would have eaten there a lot more if less meat choices. Also the location was very difficult to get back to from town after 8pm no buses hard to get a taxi and the walk was uphill for 3/4 hour not ideal
