You will either love or hate this ancient old cottage. Unfortunately we were the latter. We found it extremely dark and dingy. The soft furnishings were none too fresh i.e. pillows and throws in the lounge and the bedding was rather stale. Parking in the village in June was a nightmare, we had to park quite a distance away. It was just not for us so we departed early but I am sure some will love its quaintness and location.

The village is extremely popular with Brits. We heard more English voices than French in the little restaurant alley.

Hmmm - let me think.. OK, we were missing a ladle in the kitchen! :-D

Delightful, adorable, dreamy, heavenly, divine, gorgeous.. one quickly runs out of superlatives trying to describe this tiny jewel. If you do not expect large space but a large heart you definitely won't be disappointed. Even our teenage children, who seem to be bored and disgusted with everything all the time :-D, stayed breathless when we cracked the Nut's door for the first time saying "This is NOT a holiday house - this is a true home!" And it is, absolutely - well equipped with everything you might need, with clean kitchen and bathroom (good shower!), comfortable beds and many more pleasant little things like cooled drinks in the fridge, some basic groceries for preparing simple dinner on your first night, great choice of beach equipment, safety lights at the stairs etc. And the crown of all of that: Jossiane - a good fairy of the house, always ready to help and comfort, living just a few steps away. Do go there and enjoy genus loci and very "French" atmosphere both of the house and the neghbourhood of this little town! (By the way - we obtained perfectly detailed description of the house and the journey a few weeks before leaving home which was really helpful. The only arrival without any troubles directly to the front door on the whole roadtrip. Thank you, James!)
