Checkin and check out times are hard to handle and it is complicated to reach and enter the flat (takes long). The room could use some small fixes (ceiling), and is very warm at night which can make it hard to sleep. The host should avoid using the personal number/WhatsApp of guests except in emergency cases, no one wants to be reminded of doing reviews (with suggested grade) or other when we already have an app sending us notifications which we mute and have messaging through the booking app which we look at before arriving when time permits.

Great welcome, great host that gives a lot of attention to the guests. Great parking space

Nothing to say here, although it is worth mentioning that you rent a room in the apartment, not the apartment entirely. Didn’t find it super clear from the description. Other than that, no comments whatsoever!!

Christophe is a perfect host, you’re awarded your privacy in his home, very good location (20 minute walk to the centre) very clean room, lots of local recommendations, etc.

Position of the apartment in relation to central Bordeaux is perfect for exploring on foot. Bonus of an underground secure parking space which would have been ample enough to take my own car (Landrover Defender) if I had not flown and hired a car - 2m headroom for entry to car park if anyone wondering. Also easy walking distance from the main train station for any trips further afield. Christophe is also the genial host, eager to go the extra mile and help out wherever possible with an infectious enthusiasm which made the stay a pleasure. Top marks all round 😎

Nothing, but it is part of a private home, but you have your own bedroom, veranda, toilet and bathroom . It is a very good option for exploring Bordeaux.

Christophe, our host was very accommodating, he explained all very well, we had our parking and all was as described, very clean too. You even get a fridge allocated in the kitchen. Old town is in walking distance - about 15 mins.

We were happy with the location re distance from the train station and from the city which was excellent but we were a little concerned re the area around it.

Lovely host. The hiuse was beautiful and clean. Shower room inside the bedroom and private bathroom outside the room for us. Christoph was super helpful and nice. The bed was very comfy. The house is very close to the centre, you can easily walk, and the parking space was perfect and very safe. I could not recommend this place enought, it was just perfect

The situation, tranquility, the comfortable bed and the cleanliness. The place has everything you might need and more, from the Nespresso to the little table and chairs outside in the garden. From the listing, it was not perfectly obvious that the room will be in a shared apartment.

Christophe was very nice and friendly. The place was very well prepared, he let us use all of the kitchen and he included his tips for spending time in Bordeaux. The room was cosy and the terrace is really cool.

It is not that I did not like it, but I thought the property was separate from the main house. Even though it was part of the entire house, it was still an enjoyable stay. Thank you for your hospitality, Christophe.

Christophe, the host, is very helpful. He met with us so that we can access the parking. He provided maps, directions, contact numbers (just in case we get lost). Even though the room is part of the entire house, it has it's own shower and a separate toilet. Very clean and it smells nice. And there is free parking within the building! If ever we would go back to Bordeaux, we would definitely stay here. Thank you for your hospitality.

The district is awful (especially at night). Christophe’s behavior was extremely disappointing. After promising me he would make an effort to reimburse the nights I didn’t use, he behaved in a very inappropriate way, saying he was too busy, that he didn’t have time, etc. I don’t understand why he felt the need to mock me like this instead of simply having the courage to say he didn’t want to do it. I cannot recommend this host, and I am sorry to say that. This is the first time I have ever not recommended someone, being a host myself. Change your plans and go somewhere else!

What I didn’t like was that the room I stayed in couldn’t be locked, which felt a bit uncomfortable.

This was my first experience renting a room in someone’s home, and I had specifically chosen a place with a private bathroom to feel more at ease. I arrived late in Bordeaux and needed a safe and secure place to store my bicycle and all my gear for a cycling and camping trip, Christophe’s place was perfect for that. He even let me keep my bike indoors, which I really appreciated. Due to a change in plans, the private room with en-suite bathroom I had booked was given to friends of Christophe’s. However, he generously offered me his own bedroom and bathroom instead. While the room couldn’t be locked and the curtains weren’t fully covering the window, the bed was very comfortable and the area was incredibly quiet, so I slept really well. What really stood out was Christophe’s warmth and helpfulness. He assisted with the lift and my luggage both on arrival and departure, and his friendly, enthusiastic attitude made me feel very welcome, it truly helped me get over my initial hesitation about staying in someone’s home.
