Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomShame that pool snacks and food are no longer available on the menu as we really enjoyed ordering the cheese and charcuterie board and an ice cream now and then. We were devastated to find out La Table De Castigno had closed.
This was our 2nd visit to Village Castigno. We felt really welcome, all the staff are always so friendly. Both pools are always clean and comfortable beds to lie on and sunbathe. We also did the cellar tour at the cave which was incredible value for money. We paid €9 euros each for a 1 hour tour. It was brilliant, you also get to taste some amazing wines at the end.

United KingdomThe room we had was on the small side for 2 adults and a large dog, and the corridor and stair lighting poor. The surrounding gardens were well tended, and there were 2 swimming pools, but both were infested with wasps at the time of our stay in late June
This concept is a bit out of the ordinary - but it works. Accommodation is provided in a large converted old building on the edge of the village, while meals, including breakfast are taken a short walk away in facilities in the village which has something of the feel of Portmeirion about it. The village is surrounded by fields of vines. The accommodation hotel rooms and corridors have the feel of being in a wine cellar. We had our evening meal in the Thai restaurant which was lovely, and breakfast the next morning under shades in the village square was very pleasant.

United KingdomFabulous concept- a 'dispersed'hotel where you stay in the old cottages and buildings in the village. Amazing choice of restaurants including the best Thai food I've eaten. Biodynamic wine and brewery and a wonderfully welcoming and professional team

United KingdomDistance from Reception. No café/bar in village. Room was pleasant and warm, but felt it wasn't really our sort of place. It seemed that it was more 'form over function'. Quite isolated.
Comfortable bed.

BelgiumExecution in certain areas While we clearly can see a lot of detail went into offering a great end to end experience. The execution faltered in some areas. Can’t help but think this is a bit of a diy hotel - closing times of the bar (2 days) and restaurants during high season? Without anything nearby as an alternative mor heads up - 1 pool without decent ability to get shade. We only found out after a few days there were more options at the other pool. - limited food options during the day at pool - we had the largest room/house. Very charming. But 2 annoying feats nevertheless 1) trying to have a good night rest was not easy: very very squeaky floor (at night) in the bedroom (bathroom was ok) with also nails sticking out the wooden door that tore my wife’s dress. I get it, that it’s part of the charm of having your rooms/house being situated straight in the middle of the village, but our room was literally next to the church. Every half hour those bells toll. Woke me up every single night. I left tired. Nouse/light came in from rooftop 2) food quality, especially at the Thai. Loved the idea but the set menus (only option) were disappointing. The michelin star La table was a great experience. Great wine list too!! La petite table, the waitress made up for a lot, but here we had a very mixed bag of sometimes really great dishes and some not that great (at all). Also really too long wait times too.(30-45 min). Room for improvement!
Super nice concept! Super clean village Low markup charge on the wines. We had several bottles a day :-) Amazing vineyard and surrounding property. Nice list of activities Cleary well thought out in many ways, like adding a microbrewery and bar food with a flemish/belgian touch Has everything. (On paper) The restaurant staff! At all 3 restaurants. Some of the people at the reception area….
