Great setting and the restaurant was exceptional. We only stayed one night on our way back to the airport but will be back if we can. We ate on the terrace (with a view) and the food was of the highest quality unobtrusively served.

Well decorated, with unusual artwork on the walls. Very friendly staff and great dinners. We loved the cognac room and Jacqueline provided endless guidance and suggestions on which cognacs to try.

Gorgeous setting with beautiful views across the valley, lovely staff and the proprietor was just great…. And, as we are lazy Brits with limited French, she spoke perfect English and made us very welcome.

Nothing - it was excellent.

We particularly liked the way the hotel collaborates with the community to run a permaculture garden and educate young people in sustainable gardening. The accommodation was first class, the staff very friendly and helpful, the food at breakfast and dinner delicious, being able to sit on the outdoor terrace for pre-dinner drinks and for breakfast was great, and the cognac selection was extraordinary!

I booked a room for an overnight stay on a Sunday and didn’t realise that the restaurant would be closed. I was looking forward to an evening meal based upon reviews. I should have checked.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The rooms and grounds are very good. The hotel is very pleasant

Very friendly staff but no one around when we wanted an early evening drink from the bar The room had a lovely view and was nicely decorated but some minor repairs needed Food was delicious Really enjoyed the walk down to the river and using the spa

A great hotel in a quiet location in the suburbs of the city. Amazing decor in the public areas and bedrooms. Very comfortable beds and big walk in shower. Restaurant was slick and stylish. The food was very good and arrived promptly. A varied and tasty French menu. The terrace and outdoor pool I am sure add another great dimension in summer.

Would like to know in advance that as a resident, we still had to book the restaurant.

Although the restaurant was fully booked, the hotel fitted us in for a superb meal. One of the best we have enjoyed in France for some time. Thank you.

Lovely and quirky, beautiful chateau hotel. The artists work in the bedroom was lovely. Loved all the decorative touches and artwork everywhere. The staff were excellent. Really helpful. The dinner was fabulous and breakfast too. This was a 1 night stop on a road trip across France back from Spain and was a lovely bit of luxury.
