“This place was exceptional, a real treat to stay in. The owners are very hospitable and have supplied visitors with plenty to entertain themselves, with DVD's and games. The welcome pack was a very thoughtful touch. There are plenty of takeaways in town, so no need to cook! All the shops are dog friendly and very welcoming. Ross on Wye is only ½hr away and a must for a visit.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be returning.”
“Was given a small double cottage room, was clean and comfortable with cosy decor. Selection of tea, coffee and biscuits provided were welcome. Great, large walk-in shower room. Breakfast was very good, a good selection of hot and cold self-serve items and some available to be cooked to order. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly, including the lovely night porter who helped me check in fuss-free, after a late evening arrival.”
“We absolutely loved our stay at Flurry's Lodge. The location is great, right on the Forest of Dean, and the lodge is absolutely beautiful - inside and out. It was also immaculately clean and equipped with everything you could think of! The hosts respected our privacy, but we had the chance to meet them just as we were leaving. They were both very friendly, and you could tell they're passionate about this stunning holiday home they built themselves. We saw another review complaining about the entrance but didn't find it an issue at all, in fact the gate was easy to use and made the premises feel safe and secure. One of the best places we've ever stayed - we will definitely be coming back!”
“The bar was efficiently managed, the Orangerie/y was a pleasant place to have dinner. Some serving staff in the Orangerie were exceptional. Appreciated the visitors' friendly dogs!”
“Lovely, friendly people. Room ideal. Tea & coffee making facilities in the room. Bed was incredibly comfortable. Great location. Would recommend dining at the Angel.”
“The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is quite central in the town and close to restaurants and various activities.”
