Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

BrazilYou have to climb four floors by stairs to get to that room. Be prepared.
Excelent location and friendly staff. Necessary to pick up keys at another nearby hotel. Small but confortable and very clean room with tv, internet, mini fridge, kettle. Good shower.

United KingdomI didn't realise how many stairs I had to go up for room 7 (single room, 4th floor). Some of the metal fixtures in the bathroom (shower curtain rail etc) are rusty and need replacing.
Great location, had everything I needed (was nice to have a fridge and microwave). I didn't expect there to be a maid every day which was a nice surprise. Air con was really good and if you opened the window, you couldn't hear the noisy London streets. For a small single room the shower was still a good size and having a curtain rather than a door meant I didn't feel cramped. I basically only slept and showered here and was otherwise out. You might prefer a more spacious room if you want to hang out there.

FranceWay too loud at night. Bars opening late... People shouting. Single glass windows. And curtains too thin so light woke us up at dawn. And walking 10mn from the room to get the keys is not really convenient when you have heavy backpacks...
Central place in London, great to start visiting around! Room was 3 single beds, confortable, separate bathroom but shared with an unoccupied other room.

United KingdomThere was a lot of noise outside from bin lorries and delivery trucks, this seemed to go on throughout the night. It is London so I guess it is to be expected and not the fault of the accommodation, just worth knowing about. Two of us had disturbed sleep due to this and the other two didn't notice. After the theatre, there was a problem with the key for the outside door not working and there was no one that could come to us to help sort it out. We had to walk with our tired kids to the other hotel for another key which made it a very late, tiring night for my youngest. The new key hadn't been cut properly but this should have been tested before being given to guests. The man on duty was very apologetic and as helpful as he could be and the problem was resolved with another key.
The room was comfortable for our stay (3 adults and 1 child) and it was convenient for the theatres and restaurants. The room was clean and it was great to have tea and coffee making facilities and a fridge. You can also leave your bags at the seven dials hotel if you need to after checking out.

SwedenInconvenient to have to walk to another hotel 7 minutes away to get the keys. No noise from the street, but much sounds from the room next door. You don't want to come here with a lot of luggage, you have to carry everything up several narrow and steep stairs. Luckily I had only a small backpack so I was not bothered by this. Minor thing; the light in the bathroom was automatic which I didn't appreciate.
Great location. Good bed and ok thickness of the pillow (I like higher pillows and carried an extra inflatable pillow in case it would be too thin, but i didn't need it) The shower pressure and temperature were good. Fridge (even freezer) and kettle also appreciated.

United KingdomI want to stress these things weren't a huge problem for me, and I was aware of them before arriving, but to be as helpful as possible I want to mention them as they might be offputting factors for others thinking of booking here. There is no on-site staff or reception area; you must collect the keys from a nearby hotel. Allow 10 minutes walking time each way between the two. The communal stairway area leading up to the rooms is not very clean and might be discouraging for some, but the room itself was clean. The stairs are quite narrow and a bit awkward when carrying luggage; there's no lift. My room was on the top floor and for the last few steps there is no handrail, just smooth walls either side. I was issued with 3 keys (not 4 as others have said) and they were clearly marked up as the room key, front door and fire door. My single room was quite warm in the hot weather but I'd bought a small plug-in travel fan - there was no fan provided. The view from my room was of backs and rooftops of adjoining buildings but that didn't matter and it was quiet. There is the hum of nearby aircon but again, not a problem for me.
Perfect location, right in the centre of the Covent Garden district and ideal for the events I was attending. The room was very clean. Surprisingly for such a small room, it's equipped with a fridge (which I used for keeping my drinking water cold) and microwave (which I didn't use). Previous reviews have complained about lack of channels on the TV but this wasn't a problem for me so maybe it's been fixed. It was clear from the information given that this is a very small room, so I was expecting this. Accepting this in advance, along with other caveats (see below), the room was fine for my 2-night stay as I was busy during the days and only really needed it as a bedroom for the 2 nights. On that basis and given the excellent location and reasonable price for this district, it's fine - as long as you don't go in expecting luxury, and take into account the potential negatives below.

AustraliaBathroom was not ensuite - shared with another room; it was not described this way in advertising. Had to go to a different location to pick keys up about 10-15 mins away with baggage - quite inconvenient and not explained to us until just befor we arrived. Entry was a mobile shop door, a bit odd, but did work out overall and was accessible. No lifts - up 2 flights of narrow stairs.
Good location and clean; adequate

United KingdomLots of steep stairs to get to 4th floor. Very cramped one bedroom (shouldn’t be called an apartment as no sofa or easy chair) with tiny en suite. Would have been nice to have a mug, bowl & spoon - very sparse facilities.
Handy for the galleries. Useful having a fridge & ice compartment. Clean.

United KingdomI had to collect the keys from another location which was not too far away. I received 4 keys. Key 1 for the main outside door, keys 2 & 3 for fire safety doors and Key 4 for the apartment itself. I would have liked the keys to have different fobs which would have saved time of trying the different keys just to get in the building. The fire doors were particularly useless as there was no glass protection above the doors, so any fire would have spread.
This was a self contained small apartment suitable for one person. The location was excellent and the price was very good. It was clean and tidy on arrival. A selection of coffee, tea and milk to make hot drink. A microwave and fridge which I did not use as I was only staying for one night. The location of the apartment was close to the theatre I was attending for an evening performance which eased my thoughts about walking through London at night.

The location coul not have been better. Walking distance to British Museum, Covent Garden, National Gallery, Trafalgar Square, Oxford Street and all the theatres. Leicester Square Subway close by. We even walked to Westminster. Cleaning and change of towels every day was great.
