Perfect location for Haydock race course. It is a 15 minute walk away. Also close to the town centre with some great places to eat and drink. The breakfast was plentiful and service with a smile.

The staff were really helpful and pleasant, the meals were lovely and the menu was extensive. We were staying here to attend the meeting at haydock, the hotel is only a 10 minute walk from the course, so the location is perfect. We've already booked for next year.

All good and perfect for our needs

Location for Haydock races food and drink all great room clean and very functional nice breakfast There are three hotels to choose from in walking distance to Hadock races and the other two are larger more corporate offerings but all in all the Bay Horse is no1 choice for value, quality and atmosphere.

Would have liked a room fridge. Road a bit noisy mainly from what sounded like a pothole.

Clean - towels, toiletries and tea tray freshed daily. Staff friendly and professional.

It was very clean and modern. Bed was comfortable and the shower was nice and warm.

Pillows were a bit hard, but I could still sleep on them, and this did not affect my stay.

The staff were really helpful, friendly and professional. The room was really clean, the bed was comfy and large. Food was exceptional. I had the sirloin steak which was the best steak I have ever had. I enjoyed my stay with yourselves and would stay again.

No doors on the wardrobes and no drawers to put your clothes in but we managed even though we were there for 4 nights as we were travelling around the UK

The bath dispenser is mounted on the side wall. This caused me to have an accident the last time I stayed there as I was showering and pushed againt it I slipped out of the bath. These should be moved to the facing wall. It was refuse collection in the morning at the unearthly hour of 7 am. So much noise. Woke us up.

Not much at all to say here as there were no real shortcomings considering the type of hotel that I chose. Despite being attached to a pub, I was not at all disturbed in the evening.

Comfortable and clean room and bed with clean and easily operable shower etc. Very good breakfast and catering facilities with helpful staff. A good location just off the motorway with nice surrounds. Great for a short stay.

Not one thing I didn’t like

Quiet , clean , lower ground floor room for my mobility issue . Staff friendly and helpful . Burger stand outside was Dan and beautiful burgers . Disabled parking outside the entrance . Food on pub was beautiful and request for a quiet table was granted .

Our toilet leaked when flushed. Needs a bit tlc regards paint work throughout the hotel. Seating needs good clean and some reupholstered.our daughters room had no soap in either containers at sink or shower. Very comfortable beds.

Although the booking was for 1 double room, 2 adults, we only had 1 cup for tea and 1 towel. We had to ask staff for the extra things which was given no problem. This did not impact on the comfort of our stay

The room was lovely and comfortable , we were able to access the pub for an evening meal and the breakfast was lovely. Staff very friendly and helpful.
