The coffee stains on the walls and furniture wasn’t great. The weather was very warm too and it would have been great to have a fan in the room. The pillows were not great as they were clearly old and lumpy.

It was fit for purpose. The owner was very friendly and the bed and bathroom was clean and functional.

Our room Was on the 2nd floor but could ve done with it Lower down as I have a heart. Condition but I should ve requested this on booking, room was a bit small but everything their u needed other than that it was good

When we booked it said bed and breakfast but there was no breakfast option. Being disabled I found it a trek having to walk to Wetherspoons every morning for breakfast . It was quite a walk and had to cross a busy main road. Also there were no comfortable chairs to sit on in room.

Owner was very helpful and friendly. Tea coffee and milk were filled up daily. Room was nice and clean

When you first walked in the front door it all looked very dated it wanted a really good clean and deco .First impressions mean a lot .

There was no breakfast option at the time, however when we arrived, the owner said that there should have been. I think it was a conflict with Booking.com. Car parking is not just a problem at this location but a general issue in Scarborough. The owner helped as much as she could and we ended up paying £5 per day which is not bad in Scarborough. The main problems at this location are to do with a lack of space and noise. The room is barely big enough to have a double bed and has no chairs or much storage space and the bathroom is of minimal size too. Lack of double glazing meant that traffic outside is quite loud, people who have been drinking can be heard shouting as they pass by and sea gulls calling in the morning wake you up. Also, the walls are thin so you can hear snoring next door and people walking about upstairs.

The location was good, in that it was relatively close to the town centre. Parking was not ideal but the owner really tried to help as much as she could. In fact, the owner was very approachable and incredibly quick to respond to any questions. The room was probably what I would call basic in terms of facilities. The owner did say that she had many other better rooms, which was frustrating in that we paid more for a worse room.

Our room was a bit tired looking, double glazing would benefit the room to keep out the noise of seagulls Parking is also a bit of a nightmare, passes have to be obtained and are only valid for certain zones that are poorly marked by the council.

Breakfast would have been nice but not at £15 pp and there are plenty of shops selling breakfasts and a Weatherspoons nearby so it wasn’t a problem.

We enjoyed the spacious bedroom and position over looking the quadrangle at the front. The room was nicely furnished and light being on the front of the building and had two big windows. Seb our host was lovely and welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us.

The mattress needed replacing, it was far too soft, not because that was the way it was designed to be but ecause it was old - there was a big dint in one side where someone had slept. Did not sleep at all for the two says we were there.
