Very noisy road just outside so a lot of people shouting at night and lots of vehicle noise early morning

Right in the heart of Plymouth Barbican Plenty of bars and eating places Room had nice view of the harbour The car park was as described but had gone up th£13 per day or £55 per week not the pubs fault

Only paper cups for tea, coffee and water. A bit of a low hum due to the room being adjacent to the beer cellar. The bar was closed when we got back from having dinner just after 9pm.

    Comfortable and clean.

I applaud your aim of reducing single-use plastic but the soap dispenser provided was difficult to use in the shower. Put a wall-mounted one in the shower? The pub music thankfully finished early but I don't think it added much to the area's atmosphere. The boy racers (motorbikes and cars) were very noisy and I think dangerous. I suggest any future guest report it to the police on 101 (I say that having been defeated at my attempt to contact the City Council).

Superb location with lovely harbour view. Single room was small but comfortable. Met only one member of staff but very pleasant.

I arrived to check in about 4.10pm and told the girl on the bar I’d go upstairs to sort my stuff out then be back down for a crab sandwich - I’ve had them there many times as a guest staying or while just passing. Came back down to order at about 5.05 and she told me kitchen had closed at 5pm. Some warning of that when I said I’d be back down would have been nice! Fortunately her colleague overheard and said he’d do it anyway - it was lovely as always. Fair bit of traffic noise in the morning though.

Great location and views over the harbour. Despite being over a pub, no noise issues from downstairs. Friendly staff.

The room was lovely apart from the dust and shower wasn't cleaned properly bed was abit of nightmare due the wooden edges kept banging our legs and the pillows kept falling down the back of bed big cap. No shower gel in shower? As its above a pub be prepared for load music till late and noisy boy racers. Maybe some blackout blinds as gets bright very quick.

Great location love the view from room over looking the harbour. Room was great size .

Pillows very hard. Would suggest King size beds rather than double. Also provide, shampoo/bodywash would be a good touch and towel rails to hang wet towels. Also a fan in the bedroom, as rooms were very warm.

Rooms were sea/harbour facing, very clean, location good, comfortable.

    Everything was fine.

The room felt like a cosy, old-fashioned English bedroom come sitting room. We could see the famous Mayflower steps from our window along with great views of the marina. It was perfectly located for shops, restaurants and walks, plus we were able to park conveniently in a car park a mere 5 minute walk away. It cost about £13 for 24 hours, not cheap but we had peace of mind knowing it was just across the road.

There were a lot of motorbikes speeding past the window late at night, so we had to close the window. The stairs to the rooms are very steep and partially without a bannister to hold on to, so beware if you have mobility difficulties.

Great location, on the Barbican with its many restaurants and bars. Our room had nice views over the harbour. We were lucky enough to have beautiful weather and were able to sit out at the tables the pub had set up across the road overlooking the sea. Our room was large and comfortable, although the bathroom was teeny weeny! Although the pub itself has no parking, we parked in the nearby Lambhey Hill car park, well within walking distance, for a cost of £14.90 for 24 hours. Although the pub does not serve breakfast, we went to Monty's a few doors down where we had a great one at a reasonable price.

The bathroom was very small but adequate . Toilet had a macerator which was very noisy but again the building is old and I guess that was the only way to get a small en suite in the room. The main light did not work so only had 2 lamps. We had the room at the back of the property and the room did have a bit of a odour .

The property was adequate for the one night. Staff were friendly and the room was clean. Bed was comfortable and bedding and towels clean.
