Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content

- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

I can't think of anything.
Very well located within the town. Located right at the main area of the town so within walking distance of the beach front. The rooms were well furnished and extremely comfy. The dining area looked very well. We were told it was recently refurbished. It's a good job. We had a cooked breakfast which was decent and there were options for some light snacks. There is a bar attached next door that had live music and there was a good atmosphere about it.

We ate in the restaurant and the service was very slow and 2 pints we got on 2 occasions were flat. Food was very good however

Had to find parking space away from hotel. Managed to park outside hotel but had to move due to one hour parking restrictions. TV not working. Mentioned this on first day and was told someone would be up to look at it, but didn't appear.
Location perfect. Dinner and breakfast great!

Having to go home at the end of our stay but there’s always next time to look forward to
Everything met our expectations, the receptionist Jessie was very friendly and welcoming and we felt we were best friends for ever and having just met her, she’s a great asset to the Anchor, also Mo, the lady who served us breakfast on our last day was really lovely and chatty despite being rushed of her feet tending to a group of golfers, she took everything in her stride, originally we had booked for 3 days but Jessie managed to get us an extra 2 days due to a cancellation, great and weather was exceptional too

Portstewart a busy wee town poor parking , restaurant was busy in the evening,which in turn i wasn't impressed with our meal ,breakfast great choice but staff not very good at explaining the lay out of everything .over all would stay again but eat out .
From entry warm welcome staff all friendly bed extremely comfortable, good force from the shower nicely situated on the edge of the promenade

Have a weird £50 deposit that they hold and give to you on check out, but they don't actually check anything, so it seemed pointless.
The room was comfortable and right in the action. Staff were great.

The one flight of stairs and no lift but staff were helpful with carrying my bags as I am disabled. Nothing was too much trouble.
Good location near the beach and shops etc. Staff helpful.

We spent 2 nights here and on the first night we enjoyed a good meal in the bar and were entertained by a group of musicians playing Irish music. On the 2nd night there was a problem with a ventilation duct which meant no kitchen so no food and this was still the case in the morning so no cooked breakfast. There is a bit of renovation going on, however none of that or the hiccup with the ventilation spoilt our time there
