Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomAs a solo traveller I am never keen in living below another flat because of noise transference but I would suppose a couple or family would notice it less or may not be even bothered by it,
The flat - which is in fact the same place as the similarly titled 2 bedroom one - was well equipped and the host was super generous with the complimentary brekkie goods. The location is excellent being close to the Victoria quarter, the sea front and the Merseyrail station.

United KingdomThere was a slight musty smell walking up to the first floor and the accommodation. It didn't put us off - but it is something that needs attention too.
We were visiting family - and chose Aqua View as it is a brilliant location for the beach, Pier and shops. The accommodation was perfect for us- dog friendly as well. The kitchen had a welcome breakfast - with cereal , croissants, butter , marmalade and UHT milk in the fridge - it was a warm welcome. The pictures on the web sight are true to form. I absolutely loved the quirkiness of the décor -very 70`s. I enjoyed our stay so very much we are returning for a weekend in July to enjoy The New Brighton Summer Festival . I thoroughly recommend The Aqua View New Brighton Beach

United KingdomLovely host and great property. The host was caring and helpful and provided great communication. The property has everything you could need. The location is perfect. Situated on a quiet street, plenty of parking, around the corner from New Brighton promenade, 5 mins to large supermarket, 2 mins to lovely bistro (recommended by host) and a short walk to Wirral metro with easy access to Liverpool, rest of the Wirral and Chester. Would definitely stay again.

UkraineIt was a wonderful holiday. Everything is close by — just a 5-minute walk to the beach and 2 minutes to the bus stop that takes you to Liverpool. The host is always happy to help with any questions. For example, we were looking for pubs with live music, and she recommended a few great ones just 5 minutes away. The apartment has everything you need — and even more. It’s quiet, comfortable, and cozy. I would definitely come back again and will be recommending this place to my friends.

United KingdomWe couldn't find any oven gloves or a tea towel, and so had to use a hand towel for these, but we had everything else we needed.
The property was clean, well equipped and artistically decorated. The owner had also left some groceries for us to use (e.g. tea, coffee, milk, croissants, cereals). The shower was powerfull and the bath was great for relaxing in. The bed was very comfortable.

United KingdomNothing - we were really pleased with everything.
The apartment was beautifully presented with lots of little quirks which we loved. Lily provided personal touches with drinks and snacks to hand. The location is perfect, both for a quick trip into Liverpool city centre or for a walk around New Brighton itself with local amenaties/shops/cafes just a few minutes walk away! We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would love to come back.

United KingdomThe only very slight issue is the lock on the door is a little fiddly to get to open or lock . But that might be me being a bit ditzy 🤣
Absolutely lovely clean space. Lovely host who sent me all the dog friendly places nearby . We even received a complimentary basket with dog treats, towels and bowls which was handy as I had forgotten to being a bowl or my little dog. Such a lovely thought!

United Kingdomnothing. I've stayed in loads of places through air BnB and booking.com and no place has gone to so much trouble to get it right for the guests. almost like they've entered a competition to be the best place to stay.
We've never stayed anywhere where so much thought and consideration has been put into what guests might need. we stayed with our 2 dogs and it was almost like it was downplayed with the dog friendlyness but there was dog food, wee mats etc, even dog themed bed sheets and cushions. lily was lovely and let us check in early and check out late because no guests were staying after us. parking right outside, a hungry horse pub ( dog friendly) just 4 mins walk away with cheap but nice meals. park 1 min away. street of pubs around the corner. excellent.

A beautiful apartment, spotlessly clean ,felt very cosy and welcoming. It had everything we needed and more for us and our dog including breakfast treats , milk , hot and cold drinks , toiletries. There was a special basket of treats and essentials for the dog too. Location was perfect, lovely sea view and afew minutes walk to the shops , etc. The owner was very helpful when we needed some advice and quick to respond . Thankyou Lily😊

United KingdomLiterally nothing.
Lily has quite literally thought of everything. Really lovely touches and care and attention eveywhere and an unexpected view of the lighthouse from bed :) Some great llittle venues nearby to enjoy breakfast by an open fire at The Mess in the old fort on the beach (although Lily provides everything you need for an ample breakfast), lunch at Bistro115 and live music at Tallulahs Emporium till the early hours. Some lovely shops too explore, Sup near the train station a must for gifts and just a 20 minute hop on a train into Liverpool city centre (running every 20 mins). Fully recommend Lily's lovely pad (did we mention its painted wonderful colours outside so you can't miss it :) for a wholesome yet fun seaside escape! Thank you for having us, we'll be back x
