Val and Paul are lovely hosts, and went the extra mile to make me feel welcome. Room was immaculate with lots of nice little touches. The breakfast was fantastic. Plenty of room to park.

A very comfortable place to stay. Immaculate rooms with lots of thoughtful touches, such as a welcoming sherry. Friendly owners give it a personal touch.

The accommodation was emaculate. We could not fault the decor. It was sparkling clean and extremely comfortable. We celebrated our 25th anniversary and they very kindly put a bottle of prosecco cup cakes with 25th anniversary and a card. With a heart decorated with our names on. Very thoughtful

My room faced the main street, so there was noticeable traffic noise throughout the day and night. Next time, I’ll definitely choose a room on the quieter side of the building.

The owners are warm and welcoming, the breakfast is excellent, and the rooms are spotless—beautifully decorated with great care and attention to detail.

Avalon is a very comfortable, spotlessly clean and well-decorated B&B. The owners obviously take great pride and care of their property and there are lots of little touches that make you feel very welcome. Our room was a good size and well appointed, with a large comfortable bed, smart oak furniture and pretty decor. Breakfast was delicious, with a good selection of buffet items as well as a selection of cooked-to-order choices on offer. Although the location is not in the town centre, that was not an issue for us and there is on-site parking . Check-in was early - from 4pm to 7pm - so be aware of that if it may be an issue for you. We would certainly stay at Avalon again and highly recommend it to you.

Personally think a tad expensive but then again it seems the way now in all tourist areas of Scotland so can’t complain really. Have paid more for much poorer accommodation. This was nigh on perfect.

it was as close to perfect as you could get!

Everything! Val and Paul are great hosts. The room was beautiful and comfortable. With a little bottle of sherry if you need a nip at bedtime. The room also had a small fridge. The made to order breakfast was fantastic! They have gluten free options so if you have dietary restrictions let them know when you book. It is on a main road so easy to find, but the room was still quiet. Easy walk to centre (20 minutes). Historic graveyard across the street with great views of town from top. There was lots of on site parking
