Nowhere to sit in the evening if you didn't want to be in your room. Ended working on the breakfast table, which was fine.

The owner couldn't be more helpful. I arrived at 0800 and was given a room to sit in while waiting to go to my meeting at 0900. Breakfast, including fantastic coffee, was provided completely unasked for. Breakfast was great. Asked for an iron and my ironing was done for me, they couldn't be more helpful. Oh, and good advice on local restaurants.

Only minor minus is that the room I booked had low ceilings in places as a result of the roof angle and house construction. I'm a little over 6' tall, and had to be very careful. Still bumped my head a few times!

Terrific, friendly, informative host. Wonderful breakfasts. Nice little extras like a drying room and a mini fridge with free beverages for guests. Nice location with an easy and pleasant walk to the busier parts of town. Easy, plentiful curbside parking.

This was not your average guest house. I was welcomed and shown round then asked what would be your perfect breakfast - and that is what I was given. The room was lovely and clean and finished with lots of individual touches which makes Ramadale stand out.

I can't say anything I didn't like!

The hosts are extremely accommodating and helpful, especially regarding sights and restaurants worth visiting, and walking directions when needed. They also went above and beyond helping out with quite a bit of luggage this traveler had in tow. Lovely breakfast, carefully prepared and graciously served in a lovely book-filled room. It is a nice quiet location yet extremely well located near downtown and the harbor. Street parking right in front was always available.

Nothing not to like, I loved everything about this b&b.

Everything was just spot on. Beautiful room and en suite bathroom absolutely spotless, and all the little extra touches made my 3 night stay fantastic. Very comfortable bed ensured a great sleep. Donald will go out of his way to make your stay a pleasure. The breakfast was to die for each morning, absolutely delicious. It's only a short walk into Stornoway itself with a variety of things to do. Highly recommended.

Really great stay here. The house and facilities were excellent. Donald made very delicious breakfasts and the attention to detail overall was excellent. I liked everything!

Donald and Margaret ate excellent hosts! They accommodated my disabilities, picked me up at the ferry, provided wonderful, custom-ordered breakfast, and even a home-baked snack in the evenings. They were very helpful in giving suggestions and directions on ideas of what to visit on the island. The room was perfect for my needs.

Loved Everything! Donald was a superb host, super friendly and helpful. The baked goods were pretty delicious! Thanks! Breakfast was fantastic! The room was cosy and comfy, the bonus of a bench/settee with cushions facing the big TV was pretty handy! The bathroom was absolutely amazing, very vintage,cute and good size too! Everything was perfect, and great value for money! The location was great, just a 10 minute walk to the harbour (pubs etc) I would definitely stay again 😁

The location of this property is perfect, in a well kept quiet residential street only a short walk to the town for sights,food and drink places. Donald and Margaret were excellent host with nothing to much bother. The room was very clean with all you’ll need and the breakfast(pretty much of your choosing) was fresh and perfect. I’d happily stay again also happily recommend this place.

I had an amazing and unforgettable stay in the quaint Stornoway with excellent hosts at Ramadale. Everything was conducted with great care from the house and room interiors through the breakfast to regular check-ins and help offered to me in travel around Stornoway .
