The supposedly early check in at 2 -3 pm wasnt explained to the cleaners. We actually arrived later than that however the cottage was still being cleaned at 4pm vaccumming, bathroom cleaning dish washer all operating floor washing etc over the next 45 mins, upstairs was the area that had been completed.

The property is lovely and suited 4 adult family members.

There are a few things that need general repair.

Cozy townhouse in a lovely quiet village with lovely gardens. A little hard to find. GPS took us to same name street in Tottenham.

The garden/exterior needs some TLC - eg leaky guttering dripping on the ground floor windowsill. There was no washing up liquid/sponge/tea cloth.

Pretty location and an ideal base to explore the local area. The property was comfortable and clean.

The curtains were too thin in the bedrooms and let in all the early morning light. We were unfortunate to coincide with a very inconsiderate guest staying next door. Every night, just as we were going to bed, he would turn his television on. And it would continue to get louder and louder well into the early hours of the morning. 3 times we had to knock on his window to ask him to turn it off/down.

Very clean and had everything we could have needed. Kitchen was particularly well equipped. Fantastic, central location in the Cotswolds.

We were lucky with the weather and were able to sit outside on the private patio. The garden did appear rather neglected. Had disturbed sleep in the bedroom above the kitchen as the boiler for the hot water came on during the night and early morning and was quite noisy.

A very comfortable cottage in a lovely location.

Nothing we didn’t like, the welcome pack needs updating, a few bulbs need replacing in the lights and lamp, the upstairs bathroom had no heating in there as we didn’t know it had to be turned on via a switch in the front bedroom, was fine once we realised and switched it on.

The location was perfect, beautiful views, property was cosy, beds all comfy, kitchen fully equipped, me and my family had a lovely time.

Communication with host could have been better. Had to chase up question pre check in I’d had no response to, that was understandable, as she said she’d been on a flight. Agreed on check in time between 3-4pm, arrived 3:35pm whilst guy was still cleaning and he was under impression we’d been contacted but we hadn’t. Have since sent host couple of messages with constructive comments but no response. No info provided on check out instructions. Cups were really stained, need a soak in bleach. Ice cube tray was filled with a brown liquid ?? what! No welcome pack of essentials, which considering price in comparison with other places we’ve stayed was a little disappointing.

Very pretty cottage and location was pretty too. Beds very comfortable. Nice outdoor space although not usable in the winter, but would be lovely in the nice weather.

Mostly very clean but didn’t like all the cobwebs on ceilings, walls, windows and around plug sockets. Could do with an information packet on house and surrounding area.

Lovely, cosy house with plenty of utilities available. Good size rooms with comfortable beds in bedrooms. Perfect location, very peaceful, near to a village with excellent cafe and shop.

Great communication from host - very helpful and understanding. The location and setting was very nice, it's a small collection of cottages up a private driveway with a shared outdoor space which is only really accessed by residents - it's large grassed areas, plant life and tranquil stream are a nice place to relax or let the kids explore. The kitchen, bathrooms, living area and private garden terrace are well maintained. The location is very nice, the local pub 'Great Western Arms' is very welcoming and does have decent food on menu. But expect to drive 20 minutes for a range of amenities.

We arrived at the property but were very disappointed with the cottages cleanliness. There was open milk and used butter in the fridge and crumbs on the counters. The floor needed a vacuum and the furnishings could do with updating. Lots of spiders and spiderwebs too which freaked my daughter out. The beds were also very uncomfortable and a stain on duvet. The back garden had a fallen broken fence in it. The front of the property had a large cordoned off hole. It was very disappointing compared to the pictures we had viewed online. The property has a lot of potential but needs some TLC to bring it up to where it needs to be. We would not recommend this location. We had such high hopes but were brought down to earth quickly. It was a very disappointing stay.

It was a great location to see the Cotswolds. The village is very nice too.

Just a suggestion, but it could benefit could from having a mirror in every bedoom. Other than that, it has everything you need

Such a cute cottage in a stunning setting. Extremely comfortable, great size, and handy to have a bathroom downstairs as well as up. The kitchen was stocked with basics which was helpful. Village is lovely with a nearby pub, shop and park. Hosts were great in being able to accommodate an early arrival.

Property was full of cobwebs, washing machine didn’t work ( I did contact the agency , they never got back to me ), I had my baby and I wanted to wash some clothes . Also the freezer over the washing machine was really smelly .. back garden door couldn’t open , luckily my husband is locksmith and he managed to do it . Not sockets in front room to plug the computer and work . It was a leaflet on the table saying any problem contact the cleaner .. so I did , my surprised was when she told me she hasn’t been working in that house for over 2 years !!!!!. Lovely house but looks really tired .. marks outside the white bathroom door ( brown colour 😳).. not sponge to wash up or cloths to clean around the kitchen , also some of the plates had dry food stuck and also some forks and knifes .

    We like the location .

Our check in was delayed, we were supposed to check in at 3pm but the cleaning team were there until 4.30 pm. I also had to contact the property for self check in information on the morning of our booking. parking was also limited, we had three cars which was a bit of a challenge.

Good location and perfect sized cottage for a weekend away with friends. Plenty of cooking utensils and a lovely outdoor space to enjoy.

We really enjoyed our stay at this holiday home — the environment was lovely and the amenities were very well-equipped, making it a comfortable and convenient place to stay. The only minor downside was that the water pressure in the bathtub was a bit low. Other than that, everything was great and we would definitely recommend it to others!

Communication from the host was awful. I heard nothing so the night before I messaged through Booking. I didn't receive a reply. We therefore arrived at the property with no idea if/how we would get in. We called the mobile number for the host but it went to voicemail. After about 10 mins the host called back to give us the key box code. Apparently the House Manager should have been in touch. The host said she'd get the House Manager to call us. The House Manager never called. The cottage could have been spectacular but it wasn't. I paid a comparable amount for a similar property in Stow-on-the-Wold in February and it was infinitely better than Badgers Den. The house lacked any homeliness. No pictures on the walls. No mirrors in 2 out of 3 bedrooms. The third twin-bedded room was stark with uncomfortable pillows and thin duvets. Beds passable in terms of comfort. Under each bed loads of towels and bedding was stored - not good. Wardrobes were full of spare pillows so couldn't hang up any long clothes. Bathrooms were passable. Massive limescale build up on shower heads plus cobwebs. The place is unloved. Needs a lick of paint and some prettying up to justify the cost. The garden was overgrown and you couldn't walk up the path. Not worth money I'm afraid. It was disappointing as I'd paid for my two grown up daughters, my sister and her grown up daughter to have a girlie time away.

The property was set in a beautiful location and looked beautiful from the outside. The village was idyllic. Great location to travel around the beautiful villages and towns of The Cotswolds. There was ample parking. The bedding was clean, as were the towels. Bathrooms clean but tired and lots of cobwebs. No toiletries which I would have expected. Even Baliss & Harding shower gel, body lotion, shampoo and conditioner isn't expensive and would make a difference. Kitchen not well equipped - chipped crockery. The dishwasher had a grill that had obviously been put in to clean and it hadn't been removed. No basics left as I would have expected - eg tea, coffee, UHT milk. Potentially good outside space but garden very overgrown.
